Staying Home & Staying Warm :)

 Hello Dear Friends
&
Welcome to my humble blog.

There is not much going on.

Just working on hand-quilting
&
embroidering
my 35 year old quilt top.

I think after 35 years
it's time to get it done, LOL.

Let's Add Sprinkles

Also I spied this adorable
little sign on
Katie's

Those of you that follow me
know that my time away from the
house as well as my budget
are both on the tight side :)

So I went out to Steve's
shop and gathered what I needed
to make a budget copy.

 My January mantel :)

Thanks for stopping by
and
a very warm and special
thank you
to all of you that are praying
for my Sweet Steve.

God Bless You All!

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  11. How could your January mantle be any more beautiful! I love it! Seeing your work on the "old" quilt is giving me the urge to embroidery something. Those little girls look so delightful in their wonderfully embellished little frocks!

  13. I adore that sign and may just copy you on it. I'm glad you're staying inside and warm. Are you supposed to get the snow we are on Friday? Right now the prediction for us is 8-10 inches.
How is Steve and how are YOU? I pray for you both daily. So does Dennis. I hope you can feel my hugs and love.
    Blessings always,
    Betsy

  16. Connie, the first quilt I ever bought (not made, but bought) was a hand quilted Holly Hobby for our daughter when she was about 3. It basically fell apart over the years as it was used by both my daughter and grand daughter. It didn't have all the cute "add ons" that yours has, but we loved it. Quilting is a great way to get through those cold winter days.

  19. So glad you are staying warm and cozy in your sweet home. I absolutely LOVE your f/p and mantel every time I see it! It is still in my "wish book" of what I want for our f/p!! The sign is so perfect.. I like the idea of using a permanent marker rather than painting the words. And your quilt.. is oh so darling and so neat that you are stitching by hand. I used to do that on smaller things and it is very restful. We may get some snow tonight or tomorrow night, so maybe you will too! A light sprinkling would be OK, but not much more. I've been on a real "roll" making some fabric Christmas gift sacks.. so fun and I can't stop! Hugs to you and Steve... Marilyn

I notice that you use your serger for edging the motifs to be stitched on the quilt, I've never thought of doing this, I must give it a try. thanks for the tip.
