Do not forget that our Lord is a warrior,
He didn't bring this on us,
but he will use it for good.
That is what he does . . .
I know that is hard to believe right now,
especially if you are not a Christian.
Think of it this way:
The Bible is a history book of facts
that has out lived
any other book by centuries.
Why do you suppose that is?
While you're quarantined:
Download the movie
"God Is Not Dead"
2014 - PG
and read
Romans 8:28
If you don't have a bible,
I know you have the internet
or you wouldn't be here.
You can read the bible that way.
What better way to spend your time
than to do your own search.
I know that times are bad
for all of us right now.
Make this day count,
and
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

ReplyDeleteAmen Connie! Prayer is the greatest weapon against this virus. May He bless you and give you strength my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Thank you, Connie. God is good, all the time. Praying always, Lorrie
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie. The Bible has so much to tell us.
ReplyDeleteGood word for today Connie....Blessings to you and Steve. Do you know the song "The Anchor holds" Jimmy Swaggart sings that a lot. I usually end my praying with that song on my heart. "The anchor holds, though the ship is battered the anchor holds though the sales are torn. The anchor holds despite the storm. I have fallen on my knees though I face this raging sea, the anchor holds.
ReplyDeleteYes. Amen!
ReplyDeleteAmen!Thanks for sharing.Blessings.

ReplyDeleteAmen Connie! We decided to do some good during this time of trial. We adopted a rescue dog today! The money we spent will help quite a few of the other dogs to be comfortable while they wait for a new home too. The grandkids are home until school begins next year so mom and dad agreed to letting them learn to care for a dog since I'm here all day to supervise.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie- My Bible is the little 'The St James' version- I received it when our Presbyterian Sunday School visited Manley Park way back in 1962...it was a great day- first time in Sydney and first time crossing the Harbor on the Ferry ( 'The South Stein')...I'll never forget that glorious day. Stay well there Connie and Steve - special prayers for you two. KEV. (Australia).
ReplyDeleteAmen. Keeping you and Steve in our prayers and hopeful that this pandemic will bring more to the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI am also praying for the world... for everyone to have strength and wisdom during this very sad time. I keep praying "Let Go and Let God".. that helps me not to get so panicked and stressed. I do worry about my son and his fiance... they both are out of jobs/work right now - she has closed her own business.. and my son is self employed and everyone wants him to stay away for now! So that is my personal prayer for them.. that the work opens up for them again. I pray for you too Connie.. and hope you have the help you need at this next stage of your life. Sending loving thoughts... Marilyn

ReplyDeleteThinking of you at this time of grief and sadness. Some scriptures I have found comfort in.
ReplyDelete“He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.”—Isaiah 25:8.
“This is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life.”—John 6:40.
“The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.”—1 Corinthians 15:26.
“[We have the] hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago.”—Titus 1:2.
“He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more.”—Revelation 21:4.
