New Profile Photo & Muffin Recipe

I decided it was time for a new

profile photo.

I started this blog in 2006

so my photo is 15 years old.

This one is two years old,

but I'm smiling :)

Also, I found a new to me

website today

tried this muffin recipe.

Easy Moist Oatmeal Raisin Muffins

makes 12 muffins

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (I like Betty Crocker)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Simply mix everything together, and then fold in your raisins and walnuts. Prepare a muffin pan with cooking spray or liners, and then bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Actually I used a small Jiffy cake mix

that is a 1/2 cake sized mix.

So; I cut everything in half.

For me 6 muffins is more

than enough.

Oh my goodness . . .

If all of her recipes are as

good as this one

you will want to check her out:)

This is my post

short and (I hope) sweet.

God Bless You,

Your blogging sister,

  1. I agree... 6 is enough! I will give them a try

  2. What a pretty, pretty picture. I love your beautiful smile. The muffin recipe looks delicious. I'm going to write it down and make them when I get to our new home with a "real" oven.
    Blessings and love,

  3. Short and sweet and I love your new smiling profile picture!
    Have a beautiful weekend, Connie!

  4. I love your new smiling profile picture. Mine is pretty old and I should probably change it.
    The muffins look delicious.

  5. What a delightful smile you have Connie! x

  6. What a great picture! Love it. And the muffins look really good too. I agree about six being a good number.

  7. Hi Connie- Glad you are well and enjoying the Springtime. Think of you there in the USA and worry about the Virus- stay safe and well Connie. Best Wishes. KEV. (Sydney-Australia).

  8. I love your new profile pic! I hope you are finding your smile more and more. I know it's difficult though. The muffins sound wonderful! Save one for me! lol

  9. Great photo! Mine is a picture of me and my first grandson. He lived in Florida and this was the second time I saw him. I had flown down from Ohio for the weekend. Meanwhile, he just turned 13 years old last month.

  10. I need to try that recipe for Roger...

That is sure a nice profile photo.

  11. Very nice profile pic! And thanks for the tip about the blog The Lazy Dish! Always on the lookout for good recipes! They are surprisingly hard to find.

  14. Hi Conjie, lovely to see you smiling in that gorgeous photo. Yummy looking muffins I'm sure there will be dvdn more yummy recipes on that blog you have discovered.

  15. Great new profile photo!
Those muffins sound delicious and easy too. Going to check out the website. Thanks.

  16. Love your beautiful smile, Connie. I hope you smile lots as the days pass. Delicious looking muffins!

  17. I like the picture - you look very cute! Those muffins sound yummy!

  18. Great new pick and that muffin sure does sound good, always fun to find a new interesting blog!

  19. I really like your new picture. Looks like your pretty dark hair has grown out long again, and, I like the hat and glasses. Tomorrow, I pick up my new glasses. Hope mine look as cute on me as yours do on you.

  20. Your new photo is so sweet. So sweet to see your smiling face back then.. and hope that smile pops up now, once and again when something strikes your fancy! Those muffins look fast and easy. I used to love using the Jiffy mixes, but I can't use them anymore as they aren't gluten free. Wish they were! I use gluten free cake mixes for different things now and then, (other than a cake!) and love using them for cookies and bars and muffins. I have a little cookbook called 100 Things to Do with a Cake Mix, and I use that using my gf cake mixes for all sorts of yummy things. I could try those muffins with my gf mix! They look so good and easy and I love muffins. Of course, 6 is NOT enough for me and my hubby. We just devour them so fast, whenever one of us makes desserts. PS. I saw your comment on my blog and I'll email you concerning it! Hugs... Marilyn

  27. A lovely smile and a batch of muffins! What's not to like? I've got to try that muffin recipe. Using a Jif is a great idea.
Thank you for all those wonderful posts and smiles for the past 15 (?) years. I always look forward to them.
How is your front porch coming? If you were painting here today, the paint would dry almost before you got it off the brush; the March wind is blowing hard. I hope it is springy and warm where you are. Blessings.

  28. You have a beautiful smile, Connie. I love that photo! Boy, you were a very early blogger. I had a small little blog for a few weeks before my husband passed away in 2007. Kind of stopped blogging after that -- you understand, I know. Then picked it up again with a brand new blog in 2010. I've made some wonderful friends through my blog. You are one of them. Love you sweet friend. Keep blogging! Hugs.

  29. You are beautiful Connie!!! xxx

  30. I love your picture! And the hat!!
