Oh What A Beautiful Morning!

Good Morning Dear Blogging Friends.

My, what a glorious morning

we are having in our

neck of the woods (desert).

I went out early and picked

greens from the garden.

Then added some pea picking

to my little basket.

As well as some fresh basil.

On to the salad spinner

and then into the frig

waiting for supper :)

This is some leftover

salad from our church potluck

picnic on Sunday.

I'll just add some of that

to my mix and dinner is ready :)

It was also a perfect morning

for washing sheets

and hanging them

on the line to dry.

The day is starting off

in such a delightful way.

After I get my laundry done

I'm off to the Senior Center

with a load to donate

to their Thrift Store.

How marvelous to be blessed

with surplus.

I do pray that my garden

will be abundantly fruitful

this summer and that I will have

much to share there as well.

God is Good All The Time

Have a wonderful day.

Your blogging sister, Connie :)

  2. Oh Connie, what a wonderful day it is when the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and garden treats aplenty! You sound so joyful, which makes me happy! It's amazing to be getting produce so early in the season. I haven't planted any veggies this year.....my heart just isn't in it, but hope to get some flowers into my pots this week. See you soon!!!!!! xoxo Marilyn

  3. Your salads look wonderful! Especially knowing the parts that came from your own garden! What a treat and blessing! I'd like to know the recipe for your pasta salad. It really looks delicious. I love that cute little blue jean overall clothespin bag (I assume?). So cute...and I love your pretty sheets too! This was a delightful post. Thank you for sharing your bounty with us!

  4. Connie, I love laundry on the line. I have not had one since my girls were small. I could never have one here...too many birds. Happy to see you have a garden and are enjoying some of the rewards. Blessings to you. love, xoxo, Susie

  7. Nothing like clothes dried on the line. Since I don't have a dryer I do it often. :) The salad looks delicious. Hope your tomorrow is just as good as today. :)

  8. I loved reading your post. You grow so many delicious things in your garden. I had my washing outside on the line too today. The sun had disappeared but there was a good breeze to blow everything dry. xx

  9. Good Evening my dear Connie. The blue Washington sky against your sheets is a gorgeous sight to behold. We'll be there in two weeks! Yippee! Well, we leave here in two weeks. It will take awhile to get there. :-) Your clothespin bag is so cute. I'll bet you made it didn't you? I do love the joy in your writing today. The garden bounty, your salad and your attitude are all a great gift on this fine day. Take care of yourself my friend.
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy

  10. I love your cute clothespin bag. I always used to leave mine hanging on the line until one day when I reached in for a clothespin there was a tiny frog in there. Yes, I let out a surprised yelp ! Granny Marigold

  11. Ah, the simple pleasures of life...sheets hanging on the clothesline in the fresh air and sunshine, and picking fresh greens and veggies to sustain our physical bodies. I hope you the rest of your day was just as lovely!

About my peonies. I have no advice as I don't do anything at all to mine.
