Sure it's a lot of work
but the rewards are
so satisfying.
If you're still here . . .
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed tagging
along as I snapped these photos.
Have a lovely week
&
God Bless You All

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Everything is looking so very beautiful Connie. Your roses are stunning. My garden is a lot of work too but you are right - the rewards are just the best when you get to enjoy it. We are in autumn here now so mine is a sea of leaves. Take care Connie xx
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and walking through my garden with me. Yes a lot of work but it's so satisfying.
DeleteWhat a beautiful yard you have. All your hard work has paid off. I absolutely love the way you did the path leading to your porch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, I thought I was going to have help digging out the sod for that walkway, but the teenage boy that was going to help me never showed up. If I'd known how hard it was I might not have started it. It took me a good 6 weeks to get that path in. Digging out all the sod and leveling it was the hard part. A chore made for a much younger person, LOL I am happy with the finish.
DeleteYour garden is looking so lovely Connie, roses are one of my favourite flowers, and your Clematis is superb!
ReplyDeleteOh I love Clematis I wish they bloomed all Summer long.
DeleteYou've done a great job! Your flowers are so beautiful. You're right about the rewards, such a joy to walk around and see God's artistry!
ReplyDeleteOur clematis are struggling this year. I enjoy seeing your beauties!
Thank you for your sweet comments. I do enjoy the rewards of gardening :)
DeleteThank you for sharing your beautiful yard. Your hard work shows. Enjoy, Janie
ReplyDeleteThank you Janie and thanks for stopping by and walking through my garden with me. Soon I'll have vegetables and we'll take another walk through that garden :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful yard and garden. I love the gate and purple flowers and the pathway. Thank you for showing us your beautiful yard.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Our house number is actually on the gate. I did my best to erase it but the photo app that I have doesn't have very many colors to choose from Red was as close as I could get but I was able to write the welcome on top of it. I've been told not to put your house numbers or your license plates in your photos.
DeleteEverything looks so beautiful, Connie! I especially love the clematis growing up the vintage garden gate. So charming. I'd love to find a gate like that for my yard.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet neighbor called me up several years ago and said I have an old gate that you might like, come look at it and see if you want it before I throw it away. That's how I got that one and I love it.
DeleteSo nice walking around your yard with you. It all looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I feel the same way about your yard. I love how you've done all of your landscaping in such a natural way. I'm especially fond of the stone bridge.
DeleteThank you for the little tour around your yard. It' is so lovely, everything is thriving!! I love the picture of Beulah posing in front of the pink Roses.
ReplyDeleteShe's pretty easy to pose for me all I have to do is tell her to sit and then ask her if she wants a cookie. When I say the word cookie she looks right at me, LOL I know it's her favorite word 😄
DeleteIt really is a delight to see your many lovely flowers, plus your beautiful dog as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenny. Her hair is getting long and the weather is starting to get hot so she has a haircut appointment for next week. She looks like a totally different dog after she gets her hair cut.
DeleteConnie,
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are just delightful! I love all the flowers … and the pup too! 😊 Going up from the last image … four images up … there is an empty chair by a welcoming bunch of flowers. What a great place just to sit and be. Connie, bless your heart and thank you for sharing this delightful post.
John
John it is always a pleasure when you pop in for a visit. I do hope that you and your wife are enjoying retirement and the lovely spring weather. God bless😊
DeleteI enjoyed the visit to your garden very much, there is just something about early morning or late evening sun shining on the flowers and your pretty walk that is so beautiful! It is a lot of work but you have done a lovely job with it all!
ReplyDeleteThere is a 20 minute span both early morning and just before the sun sets that photographers call "Sweet Light" it is a lovely time to take photos or just to take a deep breath and enjoy the wonders of God's creation. This times each day just show them off at their finest :)
DeleteOh my! Your yard is beautiful, and so colorful and filled with delightful flowers! I love how you have things arranged on the old gate, the wagon wheel, etc. It all adds to the charm and beauty. Very lovely indeed!
ReplyDeleteThat wagon wheel was a birthday present one year from my Sweet Steve. He knew that I wanted one and started searching every antique shop in our county until he found it and then had them hold it until my birthday ❤️
Deleteyes, love your flowers, Connie. The evening sun shining on your home is a welcome site♥Continue on your path, you are thriving!
ReplyDeleteHey Connie. I do love taking a walk around your yard. Everything is so pretty, and you know just where and how to place things. I love the warm glow of the evening sun. I walked Ellie outside the other day, and the setting sun had made the warmest red glow on the front porch. I rushed in to get the camera, but the look had changed when I got back. I think of you often.
ReplyDeleteOh, I think of you too. This is a time of puttering around in the garden and enjoying the warm earth between our fingers as we plant . . . I'm glad that I live in an area where I have the 4 different seasons to enjoy :) I'm sure that your garden is all planted too and soon it will be time to start harvesting. Mine is so slow this year, but I have been harvesting Kale and Lettuce :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful yard you have! Everything is so pretty and peaceful looking. Your flowers are are gorgeous, you have such a knack for landscaping! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTruly I just plant what I like and hope it grows well :) I do love flowers 😊
DeleteThank you so much for stopped by.
Oh Connie, I love your yard! It is so full bloom so early in the spring! Your front porch is so welcoming and I love the blue wrought iron? trellis. Your front gate is darling and the antique gate just adorable. The stone walkway is amazing. You have put your heart and soul into your home and yard. I'm sure Steve is enjoying it right along with you. Xoxoxox Marilyn
ReplyDeleteOh, that was so sweet, you brought me to tears . . . but in a good way.
DeleteI loved our walk.Flowers in bloom always add to the beauty....and your sweet dog! Hugs, Diane
