Flowers, Scarecrow and Yard Sale Finds

Hello Dear Friends

&

Welcome to my garden :)

Some of the morning glories

are starting to bloom.

As well as other flowers

and the blackberries ๐Ÿ˜

๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ

This year I made

a new scarecrow.

Starting with a chair,

a wig head form,

and a pool-doodle.

Last week there was a

 neighborhood yard sale

just a 1/2 mile from where

I live and I found two

outstanding finds.

First this pretty wooden

wall plaque.

I added it to my headboard.

$1

Then this used once and didn't

like rice cooker with a steamer

basket.

I love it!!!

$2.50

๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ

Well, that's my post for today.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I wish there was a way

to have a glass of lemonade

and a dish of cookies

to share when you visited.

๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ

God bless you all!

Your blogging sister,

Connie :)

  6. I love your scarecrow! She's beautiful and I never, ever would have thought of doing that. Brilliant! The flowers are gorgeous too. We're beginning our journey west. Left yesterday and camped in Mitchell, SD. Now we're almost to Rapid City and will camp in Buffalo, WY tonight. Tomorrow we'll make it to Helena, MT and see our son and Grandkids. We're so excited. It's been a year since we saw them, except in photos.
    Take care my dear friend.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

Oh, I cannot take credit for the idea of how I made my scarecrow lady; I got the idea on Pinterest ☺️

    2. Sorry I was reading your comment and you mentioned Mitchell, SD. My niece and her new husband just moved there last month. Never heard of the place until then and now you camped there.

  7. Wow, that's quite a classy scarecrow! I love it!! And I love your garden flowers and pretty things. And that rice cooker is a steal of a deal. I have one that we use all the time, but only for the rice. I do have a steamer basket with it, but I've never used it! Huh! Now you make me want to pull it out of the cupboard and try it! Thanks! I would love to sit down and have a glass of lemonade and cookies with you! That would be so lovely!! Thank you!

    1. I put my veggies on at the same time that I started the rice, the peppers were perfect but the broccoli was over cooked, next time I'll wait and put them in about ten minutes after I start the rice.

    1. Yes, I'm loving it. My old one was just like it only it didn't have a steamer basket. And it's somewhere between 15 and 20 years old. I was delighted to find this one and at this great price.

  11. Hi Connie, your flowers are all gorgeous and I love them all! I'm envious that you are getting blackberries already! I don't think any bushes around here even have green berries yet. Boy we sure do live in different climates! It must be the dampness here that slows things down, although my veggies look like I live in Alaska! My two tomato plants are taller than me and are huge bushes! My cukes are taking over everything from just 3 tiny little plants. They do love this particular climate. Your scarecrow lady is just darling.. the birds may just love her so much they'll come and light on her hat and visit your garden! The chair is so perfect, and the noodle makes perfect arms! Your yard sale finds are so perfect for your needs. I did have a brand new rice cooker but gave it away when I moved here. Just never did use it as was easier to just put my kettle on the stove and boil the water and add the rice. For steaming veggies, I just nuked them! I'm lazy I guess. :-) Anything less I have to wash, the better. Our summer sure is strutting right along isn't it???? Hugs and blessings to you! Marilyn

    1. My tomatoes are so small, except for the cherry tomatoes. Doesn't really help me anyway cause I can't eat them. The cukes are blooming but not producing fruit. It's a strange year.
Thanks for stopping by, it would be nice to see you again, your always welcome here.๐Ÿก
