I was scrolling through YouTube
the other day and found this
intriguing pop-up card.
I hope I did justice to this design.
It's quite complicated, for me anyway.
But I watched the video, stopped it
and rewound it many times
while going through the steps.
The artist name is Sarah Trebilcock
and I'm putting the link here
to her video on YouTube.

Just in case any of you want to try
making it.

Have fun!!!
And God bless you all.
You're blogging sister,
Connie :)
Isn't that amazing, well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I can't believe how long it took me to put it together. Even with the video, but of course on the video she made it look so easy, LOL.
DeleteWhat an achievement! That looks very complicated.
ReplyDeleteIt was a bite, but watching the video and doing it step by step truly helped.
DeleteThat is beautiful, Connie! What a LOT of work! Do you plan to keep it, or give it away as a gift? I hope if given away, the recipient knows how much work went into creating it! It is truly lovely! You have a lot of patience to make things like that! What a gift!
ReplyDeleteI have four birthday cards to make during the next couple of weeks, so this one will go to one of the four
DeleteA fabulous creation, Connie!
ReplyDeleteLiz xx
Thanks Liz 😊
DeleteConnie - this is just beautiful! You did so good. I think you have more patience than I do. :) Whoever you give that card to will certainly treasure it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hope they like it ☺️
DeleteI agree well done, you did a super job. Very creative.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was complicated but fun just the same 🤗
DeleteBeautiful work! I am afraid that is more than my brain can handle! I would make the biggest mess! Thanks for sharing, dear!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
I forgot to do a photo with all the little branches that come off the frame. These branches are where the butterflies spring off from. It was a challenge, but we need that now a then 😊
DeleteConnie that card is gorgeous! I know how much work those are! I've made a few like that, and usually one is about all I have patience to do! Then I'm on to some other new challenge. I bought a die set a few years ago from Anna Griffin.. she is a wonderful cardmaker and creates beautiful scrapbook papers from old wallpaper, and wonderful dies that cut out all sorts of things for cards and gifts. This one was a flower cart, with a roof, awning, baskets of flowers, wheels, etc. and took me forever to make! It was so wonderful and I did manage to make two. But now it sits in the box all alone, with me having no further plans to make anymore! Such a shame. Yours is just lovely with all the little butterflies that I see your printed out and cut each out and colored. It really IS fun to have these challenges now and then! I get tired of the same old things, and like to always be making something different. I watch YouTube almost daily for ideas on new things and now and then, something will catch my eye and I just HAVE to make it! I think my paper crafting has slowed down some, for whatever reason. I think I've run out of new YouTube channels to watch! Hugs.... Marilyn (this shows anonymous and don't know why).....
ReplyDeleteI've always been fascinated with pop-up cards, but they are time consuming and tricky. I wonder what's going on with blogger, you should not be coming up as anonymous? 🥴
DeleteConnie, I don't know why I show as anonymous! It is happening on other blogs too! Weird. I'm trying to fix it.
DeleteMarilyn
That card is beautiful!! So intricate. It's beyond my abilities but I'll pass that link on to my crafty daughter💗
ReplyDeleteI hope she likes it :) and thank you for your sweet words.
DeleteWow you did a great job with that project.
ReplyDeleteThank You :)
DeleteAmazing and so beautiful! I am not surprised you conquered it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, thank you 🤗
DeleteOh wow that is so cool and just beautiful, love your coloring of the butterflies and I love the surprise inside.
ReplyDeleteI am the same way when trying to follow a video, I am always stopping and rewinding, but I learn so much better through video than I do written instructions. Thanks for sharing the link, I might just give it a try :)
Let me know if you do, because I would love to see your finished card.
DeleteA delightful card. And your butterflies are "Oh, Wow!" I love that you were careful to give credit to the card maker. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she put many hours into designing it. There's a lot of technical work into figuring out the angles so that everything works and putting together a DIY video on top of that. She deserves to be praised.
DeleteHi Connie. You are very talented. Such a nice craft.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't have made this card without Sarah's wonderful tutorial 😊
DeleteThat's such a beautiful card! You pressed on, even when i can imagine it got tricky. Such a delight to make, and I love the words too! You are always so crafty and making such fun things!
ReplyDeleteThank you, your comment is so encouraging 😊
DeleteYou definitely did it justice - quite beautiful, Connie
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I tried 😊
