Spring is in the air
and planting time has begun.
Normally I don't start planting
until the second week in May
and sometimes not until
the middle of the month,
but our forecast says
no more frost so I'm
starting early.
Hopefully by Monday
I'll have my garden
completely planted.
are strutting their stuff.
Pie anyone?
I just love this
time of the year!
🌷🌸🌹🌱🌹🌸🌷
spending my time
this week until I've got
all my plants and seeds
safely in the ground.
That is if the critters
don't get to them . . .
birds, squirrels, and those
terrible little things
that eat them off
at the stem during the night.

Here's to all my gardening
friends . . .
Happy gardening, enjoy the process.
We plant the seeds,
but God causes the growth.
I know that verse pertains to
sharing the gospel . . .
but it kind of fit in
the garden, too 😇
God bless you all,
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

Hi Connie! First, thanks for coming by Marmelade Gypsy. I'm so glad your visit brought me here! The garden is fantastic. Gardening is not in my skill set and I admire the work that goes into it and the beauty it produces. Here in Michigan, I don't dare start till mid-May. It's only in the 40s, max 50s these days and the night temps are pretty low (though I will put in some lettuce today.) That bike is the cutest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . I've had that bike painted two different shaded for blue and then the last few years it's been white. I almost repainted it again this year, but ran out of energy . . . too much garden prep :)
DeleteYour garden looks lovely, Connie, and always nice to see someone's as we no longer do any planting since we are now apartment dwellers. Thanks for your comment about your husband's fishing trip on the Snake River. We are really looking forward to our river cruise in the Pacific Northwest next fall. I will add your blog title to my sidebar so I will not forget to visit here.
ReplyDeleteI just know that you will have a lovely time on your cruise, it's a beautiful but more rugged area than your cruise on the old Mississippi River. I'll be looking forward to your photos :)
