Valentine Door Decoration

Since I took my Christmas wreath off the front door, the door has looked a little bare.  I have a pretty wreath for spring, but it is just too early to put it up.  Well, I had a little time today, so I strolled out to my husband’s shop to see what I could find.

There by his scrap pile were the remains
of a wooden shipping crate that our
bedroom window came in.

So with a little bit of sawing, painting, gluing and wiring together I now have a way
to decorate my door for February.

It's not the fanciest door ornament
you've ever seen,
but you have to admit, that on my
plum colored front door
it looks pretty passionate and ready
to celebrate Love.

    1. Donna, Thank you so much! I used to walk regularly with a neighbor and during a walk one morning I mentioned that we were painting the house. She replayed, "what color?" When I got to the place where I said and a purple door, I could tell her had an opinion. When the job was done she confessed that she thought it sounded horrible, but changed her mind the minute she saw the finished product. Just thought I'd share this with you, your blogging friend, Connie
