I’ve always been a collector of hats,
but never was able to find the perfect hat-stand.
My solution was to make them myself.
The fabric that I wrapped around this one
was inspired by
Carol’s fabric flowers.
You can find Carol at
The Polka Dot Closet
If you have never gone to her blog,
You are missing out on treasures & treasures
Of inspiration, amazing creativity, and goodwill
toward every one who visits.
If you are smart and I know you are,
You will hit the follow button on her marvelous blog.
If you would like to see more and find out more detail
about any item that I will be putting in my booth. Please go to my new blog.

French Market
At this point having a booth is just a dream, but I am
having so much fun planning for this new adventure and making items to sell.
I believe that before you can do anything, you must start
first with a dream.
So I’m dreaming about having a booth by
next spring.
Come follow my new blog and dream with me.
Connie :)
Connie, Those are beautiful hat stands. You were so clever to make your own. If you own pretty hats they can be part of your decor. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, I am delighted that you like my hat stands. I have been so excited planning a booth, and now starting to make items to sell in it. I appreciate your feedback . . . because I really want to succeed as a mini shop keeper. Have a wonderful day and please come again. Connie :)
DeleteConnie,
ReplyDeleteOh, I love these french hat stands, and that black hat with the red rose is gorgeous. I wanted to tell you....I didn't take the pictures on my rainbow post. Most of the pictures on our blog we take ourselves, but these are ones that I came across that just went perfect with my post. I think I want a hat stand now.
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley

ReplyDeleteJoAnn
Hi JoAnn, thank you so much.
DeleteOh Connie, your hat stands are just dreamy...as is the sweet hat with the 'yoyo' hat band...
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative.... and what hat doesn't look lovely, when sitting on a sweet hat stand. :>)
It was so nice to come to the computer with my morning coffee and receive your lovely comment. That straw hat has been my favorite for about ten years. I change the hat band around between this yo-yo one, that I made and one made of seeds that I purchased at a farmer's market. The hat stands were so much fun to make. When I went to Home Depot and bought my wooden dowels (about 6 all different sizes) the lady at the check stand was very curious, to know what I was making, LOL. Thank you again for your wonderful comment . . . you started my day off on a sweet note. Connie :)
DeleteDream on, dream on, dream ON! You will make your dreams come true. I see evidence of that in these fabulously beautiful, clever hat stands. How wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou are soooooooooooooo sweet. Thank you so much! Connie :)
DeleteBonjour Connie!!
ReplyDeleteQuelles jolies chapeaux!!! J`adore!!! :O)
Bonne semaine!!!
xxx Maria xxx
Thank you Maria.
DeleteYour hat stands will be big sellers. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, I certainly hope so. I have this fear that I will set up my booth and no one will even stop. I'm trying to think of unique items, but maybe that's not the way to think. After all how many women wear hats? Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement, I really do appreciate it.
DeleteHave a great weekend, Connie :)
Golly you must've read my mind. Last two weeks I was wondering how-where to hang or sit my hats in my bedroom. They lay on a closet shelf an I forgit they are there sometimes. I wear different straw hats for gardening. I am looking at the beautiful creative hat stands you have made with wonderful details. You have my mind crunching now with inspiration you shared. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, I am delighted that I could inspire you. You will have to post your hat-stands when you get them made. I can't wait to see your take on this idea. Have a great weekend, Connie :)
DeleteThe hat stands are very pretty and I think your "helper" is adorable! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDelete-Shelley
Hi Shelly, thanks for stopping in and for your lovely comment. I am excited that you are now following me . . . I just know that we will become great blogging friends. When I took these photos I set them up at floor level, so my little Butchy had to investigate, he looked so cute that I could not resist taking his picture. He helps me in so many ways around the house, but mostly he keeps my kitchen floor crumb free, LOL. Have a wonderful weekend, Connie :)
DeleteThese are wonderful Connie...so creative.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara. I am pleased that you like them. Connie :)
DeleteI wasn't sure which blog to visit, so I started with this one. These hat stands are gorgeous and just the thing for hat lovers. I like how you made them your own creations. And the colors are great, too. So French! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I appreciate your lovely comment and following. I am trying to keep this old computer going, so I plan to visit your other blogs, but right now, I must shut this computer down and allow it to cool. It's a time thing!
ReplyDeleteI am honored that you visited me before your computer took a rest. Thank you for the very sweet comment. I am very excited to make a new friend. Have a wonderful day, Connie :)

Connie, the hat stands are great. I saw Carol's on her blog The Polka Dot Closet and now yours! Absolutely beautiful. - Revis
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Connie :)
DeleteGreat idea to have a booth, even if it's just an idea at the moment. I have just two sales each year, gives me a target and something to work towards (and an excuse to buy lovely things, too!).
ReplyDeleteHi, I think that planning for two a year is a great idea. I would love to get into an indoor antique and craft mall, as a permanent little shop, but at the present time we do not have one in our area. I'm tickled that you like my hat stands. Have a great day, Connie :)
DeleteConnie, these are beautiful! I can't wait to see more about your booth. I've been wanting to do that too, and even have our vintage travel trailer to turn into a store someday, though I don't know if I will. I am too busy with other things right now. I'll check out your other blog!
ReplyDeleteKathy M.
Hi Kathy, I always enjoy your visits and thank so much for following my other two blogs . . . you are a sweetie pie. Having a vintage trailer and using it for a shop is one of the best ideas that I have seen. I'm sure that the little trailer will attract people to your booth and it sure takes care of the packing up and storage issues. Who knows we could be parked next to each other someday. Just a couple of market shopkeepers. Have a great weekend, Connie :)

Hi Amy, Welcome to Crafty Home Cottage. I am delighted to have you as a new follower and excited about following your creative journey, too. Number 500 - that is so rewarding. Saturday was my birthday and I was hoping that I would get my 500th follower. I am so happy that you like my hat-stands and my little helper. His biggest job around here is cleaning up any crumbs that fall on the kitchen floor . . . and he does an excellent job of it! Looking forward to a great blogging friendship. Connie :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it! I could use some hat stands for my crochet hats!
