If I'm looking for photos to use in vintage cards I don't have to go very far.
I just celebrated my 67th birthday
and life is good . . .
I've lived through some very hard times and some very good times.
The bad times made me strong and helped me to appreciate the good times.
If you have read this far,
I just want to say thank you for sharing
some of my childhood (vintage) days.
I feel honored to be a part of the
sisterhood of bloggers.
Have a great day,
Connie :)
Dear Connie,
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! My last school photo was when I was 11 years old. The school wouldn't take any photos after that for some reason!
June
Hello June, thank you so much for this lovely visit. My granddaughters are in kindergarten and first grade this year . . . so I am already looking forward to school photos. It's so much fun to put them together and see the youth process, from year to year. Have a great day, Connie :)

K.
p.s I think you have a sassiness in you too :)
Just look at that confident smile!
Hi Kerin, I may be a little bit sassy now, but I'm afraid as a child I was very shy. Maybe not around family, but around everyone else. I was almost 30 before I ever realized that I could actually voice my own opinion and that it mattered. That was then . . . My sweet husband was the first person in my life to really make me see that I had value just as I was, and that my ideas and thoughts were as important as anyone else. Girls need to grow up knowing this. Have a great day, Connie :)
DeleteHappy BIRTHDAY CONNIE!! What a great post! Looking at your pictures gave me a "BIG SMILE"! First, I can't believe you are 67! (are you pulling our boot-strap?) What a pretty lady or should I say "VINTAGE GAL"? Whatever you are doing, keep doing it...cause it agrees with you! May GOD BLESS YOU with MANY, MANY More! From one sweetie to another~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteHi Roxie, well that was a very sweet comment. I know that when I reach 97, I will look back and think that 67 was young, so I have decided to think it now instead. Some days I feel so good that I could take the bull by the horns, and other days my poor old back is killing me and I feel older than the hills. Fortunately the good day way out number the bad ones. Thanks for your lovely words, Connie :)
DeleteGorgeous photos - such a sweet child. Happy Birthday, Pj x
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos - sometimes I look back and mine and shudder at the hairstyles (or lack thereof)...but they are still my memories. Thanks for sharing yours with us today!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, all the old fashions and hairstyles are part of what make old photos so special. thanks for the sweet visit, Connie :)
DeleteOh, what cute photos, Connie! Thanks for sharing those. Happy, happy birthday. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteCool photos Connie...you ARE a true vintage gal! (I love that you "own" it)
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, What can I say . . . each day holds a memory . . . and each memory makes us who we are. I've done a lot of growing through my 67 years and I wouldn't trade any of them ( good or bad). Right now in time, I am right where I am suppose to be, and enjoying it. Thanks for your sweet visit, Connie :)
DeleteWonderful pictures of a vintage gal, belated happy birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteSarah x

DeleteGreat photos! Funnily enough I've just been looking at my vintage photos and I had the same chubby legs!
ReplyDeleteYou were so little when wearing your Daddy's hat. I love seeing you when you were so little! You really haven't changed over the years, Connie, you look the same as you did back then. I don't know if I still do.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful "vintage" post.
Kathy M.
Happy belated birthday, Connie! These photos are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDear Connie, you haven't changed a bit!! These photos are just gorgeous, and you look such a sweet and thoughtful young lady in the last couple. The young ones are adorable, and is that Little Bo Peep on your jumper? Just lovely.I hope you had a happy birthday, and as you say, there have been good times and bad times. Isn't that the way......but I know that whenever I pop over here you make my day brighter. Bye for now, Jane
ReplyDeleteOh Connie, you were such adorable girl!!!. Those pictures are priceless :). I LOVE the photo you took with long exposure no flash, so peaceful and cosy. I could almost smell the hot cocoa there :). Hugs.
