Paintings Inspired my love of the Southwest.

Today I thought that I would post three more of my paintings.
I lived in Arizona for a year
when I was in the seventh grade.
That was a long time along,
but the sunsets, the mountains, the dessert,
and the
 warm and friendly people,
all left their brand burned into my heart.
These three painting were inspired
 by my love of the American Southwest.

 I call this one
Ghost Pony
 it is on a 24 X 24 canvas

~~~~~~~~~~~
Chiquita
20 X 24 canvas
~~~~~~~~~~~

Cortez Fisherman
20 X 24 canvas

~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you enjoyed them.
There is this place I go to when I'm painting,
a place that blocks off the world and everything around me.
I get carried away into the complete process
and it's a very relaxing place . . .
a vacation of sorts.
I'm hoping that the slower pace of winter,
will bring back more time for painting.
Have a lovely day,
Connie :)
This photo was taken in Tucson when I was in the seventh grade.
I had an after school job, exercising the horses at a neighborhood stable.
The beauty that I'm sitting on was Babe,
and she was by far my favorite.
    1. Hi Val, Thanks for the lovely compliment on my paintings. I have never seen Annie get your gun . . . I'll have to look for it. Have a great week, and get out your brushes . . . maybe if they are out in the open you'll use them. I think that is good advice for me, too.
    Beautiful paintings, and I'd say that you captured the spirit of the desert beautifully!!
    We lived in Chandler Az. for a year, when we were first married.
