(Steve took the back view photos) |
This is what I did today;
10 inches of hair gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you ever tried
holding your arm out to take your own photo?
You don't get the best results,
but.........
I was just excited about my new freedom
and wanted to share my excitement with you . . .
I didn't even realize how my long hair was dragging me down.
Have a great day.
Your blogging sister,
Connie
I remember once as a girl having really long hair and cutting it shorter...and I felt like I lost pounds! Your hair looks great --enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, Thanks!
DeleteConnie :)
You look so great! I love it :D I need a hair cut too. My hair is so thick--when it gets too long I get a lot of headache s because my hair is so heavy.
ReplyDeleteHi, I was starting to have a lot of headaches and neck-aches . . . I was thinking that it was (maybe) caused by my hair. This is interesting . . . we'll see if they go away :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by and visiting . . . I love company.
Your blogging sister, Connie
Connie!!! You look so happy and beautiful! I absolutely LOVE IT! What does Steve think since you took the plunge? I know you talked about doing this a few posts back....Good for you! from one sweetie to another~~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteHi Roxie, Steve loves it . . . he says I look younger, and that is good enough for me, LOL.
DeleteHave a great day.
Your blogging sister, Connie
Oh my. I did this same thing around this time last year. Yes...about 10 or so inches. What a difference, huh? Looks wonderful. ~Pat
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat . . . I appreciate the compliment :)
DeleteYour blogging sister, Connie
I can just imagine the freedom you feel Connie. Less time spent washing, drying, brushing etc. it's a great feeling and you look fab.......
ReplyDeleteClaire x
Hi Claire. Yes I can't wait until my morning shower, to shampoo. They put so much hair goop in it at the salon and I'm a cream rinse . . . clean hair kind of gal. Plus it will dry so much faster . . . that will be a blessing in it's self :)
DeleteHave a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
Your blogging sister, Connie
You look so youthful............you have a beautiful smile! 10 inches of hair is a lot to cut! Just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you . . . and yes, it feels so light and freeing. They asked if they could save what they cut off, to use for testing hair color. I've never had anyone ask me that before.
DeleteHave a wonderful day.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
yep! hairs really get heavy! welcome to your new freedom :)
ReplyDeleteThe new haircut looks great on you. I agree with Roxie, you look so happy in it :). Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteMaria
Thank you, and it feels so good :)
DeleteYour blogging sister, Connie :)
Looks great! Definitely a younger-looking you.
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous Connie!
ReplyDeleteVictoria xx
I'm getting so many lovely compliments . . thank you :)
DeleteI've tried taking my own photo at arms length and they do look a bit odd, but you look great!
ReplyDeleteI hope losing all that weight off your head cures your neck and headaches.
Thank you . . . I sure hope so, too :)
DeleteYou look amazing, I love the new look! What have you done with the hair you had cut off? xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Fran . . . They put a ponytail around it before cutting and saved it to use for trying out new hair colors. You can not donate hair that has been permed or that is gray . . . the hair they use for cancer wigs is young undamaged hair (at least that is what I'm told).
DeleteHave a marvelous day,
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Beautiful....you will feel so much lighter and in way free. Good for you. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Bron . . . and thank you :)
Hi Connie....hubba hubba!!!! you look great.I cut mine when i turned 50 and it felt so strange but light at the same time.It is very short now how wonderful a change makes us feel!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to have a change . . . this morning I shampooed it and put hot curlers in and it turned out even nicer. I'm liking the difference.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Your blogging sister, Connie
Way to go Connie! You know it makes sense! And your hair looks lovely, I bet you spend all day 'swishing' it! Lx
ReplyDeleteI have been having fun with it, LOL. Girls will be girls . . . no matter how old we get.
Wow! What a transformation! Your new (shorter) hair is so pretty - it looks very swingy! I bet you look younger too, right?
ReplyDeleteI love your new haircut! It looks so much lighter. Your face lights up in this frame. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful Connie. It's lovely to see your warm smile and friendly blue eyes. The haircut looks great. I'm growing mine out at the moment but have chopped off 10 inches or so more than once in my life. It does give one a new, fresh feeling.
ReplyDeleteYour new "do" looks wonderful! You look happy too. It's amazing how good a haircut can feel.
ReplyDeleteOh Connie, you look lovely with the new haircut :). I had cut off my hair (a boy cut) after keeping long hair for years. I did that right after I quit my job last year, a feel-good-new-beginning kind of thing :).
