After Photos Of Our Newly Painted Living Room

I thought that I would just show you a few shots of my living room
after all my hard work of painting.
I chose to paint some walls a light sage green
and the others a color called antique leather.
It was a pale yellow before . . .
I liked the yellow, but it was time for a change :)

See Butchy on the back of the sofa, that is his favorite day-time spot.
If you look close you'll even see one of his toys on the floor.
It is rare to see only one toy out.
I put them away, and he drags them back out, LOL

A little Autumn decor.
The candle holder is welded from old tractor parts.
It was made by a girl friend of mine.

My china hutch.
The bottom is a chest that has been in my husband's family for generations.
The top was a gift from an old friend.
She found it in Portland, Oregon,
it was once part of a kitchen cupboard.

Some of my tea cups.

More of my tea cups.
I do love collecting them . . . you just never know when
a rabbit and a mad hatter may knock on your door for tea, right?
My motto is always be prepared . . .
I learned that in the Girl Scouts.

One of my paintings and three of my clocks.
That is another thing I collect.

A comfy place to rest.

Butchy, my partner in crime.

I'm trying to teach myself to play . . .
wish me luck.
If nothing else it is great exercise for my injured hand
(use it or loose it they say . . . so I'm always using it, in every-way possible).

Have a lovely day :)
I hope that I did not bore you with my photos.

Well, this is our little cozy corner of the world.
Our home & we love it :)

  2. Dear Connie. Your living room looks so cosy and a lovely place to relax. I love the painting and my heart was in my mouth when I saw all your cups. Not only because there are so many pretty ones but I was worried about them toppling over and crashing to the floor! Thanks for sharing these pictures with us. It's nice to see where our blogging friends live.

  9. I love the new wall color. Your tea cup collection is so pretty. Let's play move around your furniture. The huge chest would be fabulous as your coffee table. I love the fall decor you have on it. Then move the brown sofa next to your other sofas. If you can I'd love to see your gorgeous China cabinet where the brown sofa is now. Add the side chair next to it. I love your paintings. Your dog is adorable. I'm always decorating ♡

    1. Hi Dee, I have had my furniture moved around in so many different ways. I'm always changing things up, and we have lived here almost 30 years. If you will notice the coffee table has a glass top and inside is a display of family heirlooms. Most of which came out of the big trunk. Mostly things that belonged to my husband's grandma, and his dad. We have old hat pins, coins, jewelry, shoe button hooks, depression tokens, pocket knifes, even a very old Coke-a-Cola purse mirror. It is our mini family museum, LOL. I like your ideas, that might be my next rearrangement.
Thanks for visiting, I really enjoy your company :)

  11. The light green is very pretty. And what a beautiful collection of teacups you have! I especially like the piano wall - how there's a colorful painting in the middle, and then the black and white photos surrounding it.

    1. Hi Melanie, thank you . . . I am happy that you like that wall. I just took some old frames and used mats and music sheets to surround my black and white photos. They are actually photos that I found on line and printed. Simple and cheap way to create a music inspired wall :)
Thanks for stopping by . . . I appreciate the feed back.
