I purchased these wide tip Sharpies & they make it so easy.
Not just easy, but also permanent.
Their ink will not rub off when they touch moisture.
So use them for banners, for notes, for holding recipes cards, for keeping the bread sacks and the chip bags closed.
Since they won't fade use them to hang your fresh white sheets, out on the clothesline this summer :)
Wouldn't they make a nice gift paired
with a handmade country chic clothes-pin bag.
Everyone has a girl friend that is
"Living Green".
One more idea . . .
for all of you grandmothers,
when the kids visit use a
clothes-pin and a kitchen towel,
to make a great bib :)
Make life fun !!!
Your blogging sister,
Connie

ReplyDeleteKaren
Hi Karen and thank you. Something else that I use clothes pins for . . . I have a line stung up across my studio and it is a very handy place to clip small project prices while working. It is also a wonderful place to hang the granddaughter's artwork. I love see their work when I walk into the studio :)
DeleteThese are so natty (English word for cute/useful!). Even I could make these. I'm thinking green ones for greenhouse, different coloured ones for office, shopping lists etc, so many uses xxx

Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteHow very cure your clothes pins turned out! Just adorable!! I'm working on some pins too but I'm not painting them.
I hope to show them soon when they're completed.

Thank you . . . I'll be watching for yours :)
DeleteOk, back again. That comment should have said "CUTE" not cure. Typing to fast and not proof-reading...sorry.

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Italy !
Roberta
La Sportina
Thank you . . . I am very happy that you like them :)
DeleteThis is a fabulous idea!!!! And the girls would love to make their own artwork on their own pins, too! One thing...is it hard to take them apart and put them back together? I am going to the Dollar store tomorrow!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny it is not hard, but it is tricky . . . once you get the hang of how they work, you can put them back together pretty easy :)
DeleteHave fun.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
How fun! I love your idea of using the permanent markers. The polka dots are so cute! I painted some Dollar Tree clothes pins for a project I did for Christmas gifts. The hardest part for me was getting the metal spring part on and off!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, those little springs can be a bit tricky :)
DeleteIt is a fun project and the Sharpie pens worked great.
Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Pretty cute.
ReplyDeleteCute ideas to use that fancy clothes pins too.
If anyone can improve on a clothes pins cuteness... it is you my friend :)
Hi Kerin . . . thank you . . . you are adorable and you say the sweetest things :)
DeleteHave a lovely day.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Those are so cute! Great idea with the magic markers, Connie. I love paint pens, and I use them to decorate my postcards and greeting cards.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of using a regular clothes pin to keep the potato chips fresh; I always keep trying to find the plastic ones in the drawer, lol.
Kathy M.
Hi Kathy, I have a big glass pickle jar filled with these clothes-pins from back when I started decorating them using paint. They come in handy for so many things. So, why not make them pretty!
DeleteHave a wonderful day and thanks so much for visiting.
I love reading your comments.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
What a crafty and clever girl you are! I use clothespins for a multitude of things and pretty is so much better. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree . . . it you can pretty anything up a little bit, why not:)
DeleteHave a great day,
Connie :)
So fun and handy. Love the designs and you never know when you might need a clothes-pin.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth:)
DeleteGreat idea Connie. These clothes pegs look so good and useful around the house too.
ReplyDeletePatricia x
Hi Patricia, I agree . . . they have so many uses . . . so why not make them pretty, too :)
DeleteConnie, I don't know why I never thought of this! I use clothes pins for everything. I had thought of decoupaging them, but thought that was too much trouble. Love the idea of the sharpie being permanent.
ReplyDeleteOh Connie this is a great idea. I hang my sheets through the year when the sun is shining ;-)
ReplyDeleteJust fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYou're a woman after my own heart. I love the polka dot and flower clothes pins. I bought big 1" thick clothes pins and used rub-ons to write the names of the office secretary. I finished them off with jute an ribbon. One said To Do instead of the name.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you found me. I will have fun sharing your journal art with my Doodle Club - I teach middle school and have a club where boys and girls can play.
Check out my post Ostranenie - I'm not sure the date, but just a few days ago. I think you definitely use ostranenie.
