You show summer like NO one can, and you make it look like heaven! And I love the older pictures you have put in, too! So you must have always loved the summertime! I want lemonade, a game of croquet, and to sit out back and listen to your music...
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, I think that as a kid, waiting for summer vacation from school started the love I have for summer. What's not to like, farmer's markets, garage sales, county fairs, parades, picnics, fun on the water, gardens and fresh vegetables and fruits, and watermelon, my personal favorite food :)
DeleteThanks for visiting and for your very sweet comment :)
Loving your summer tribute, Connie, and those old pics are so very 70's! I remember those days very well, those fashions too! I also wanted to say I love your sail boat and I even went to your husband's blog and saw how he fixed it up to the beautiful and shiny thing it now is. Enjoy your summer to the fullest (I know you will). Blessings. Sara
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, what a lovely comment, you are so sweet . . .thank you :)
DeleteGreat summer shots! Love them all
ReplyDeleteHello Jeanne, and thank you :)
DeleteInviting front porch! Do you sit out there often? The back porch and little girls look so enjoyable also. You set a pretty table for your party. I am sure your guests enjoyed it. Sounds like you will continue to enjoy the summer! Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, Summer is my favorite season. It is easy to see why people move to warmer climates when they retire, it prolongs the warm and lovely weather. We sit out in the front sometimes in the afternoon and evenings when that side of the house is shady. It's a fun place to say "Hi" to neighbors as they pass by.
DeleteLooks like the best ways to spend your summer!! Sweet and fun photos!! Happy summertime! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteHi Heather, and thanks :)

Hi Val, I'll be right over :)
DeleteLovely pictures of Summer. It flies by much too quickly!!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes it does :)
DeleteA lovely set of pictures, all very bright and happy. I too love the summer, it just cheers everyone up. We have just got summer now after bad weather for about 18 months which has been quite hard to bear. Now we have to make the most of it! Xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Fran, I think that you are the right gal for the job, of making the most of summer . . . have fun doing it :)
DeleteOur weather was a bit nasty for summer, until about two weeks ago when it hit with all it's glory. Have fun soaking in the rays.
Wonderful photos - thanks for sharing! Very different to life here in the town! Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie, it sounds like you need a trip to the county :)
DeleteConnie ....I'm comin' on over and movin' right in with you!! What a beautiful spread of photographs, and what a wonderful family too. I'm not going to grumble about our weather though, because from mid last-week our sun has been shining, and very very hot this last weekend while the Mollys were at camp and dancing with 35 other Morris and Molly sides - heap of photos on the blog. I'm hoping it stays fine this w/end as we are at the Ely Folk Festival. (i must sew up my French Tart frock, the net is ripped to shreds getting on and off coaches!)
ReplyDeleteI loved the 70's photos, too, as this is when we were bringing up our young family, ah, memories! (And I love the photos of Gypsy Rose, another reason for movin' in with you!!)
Have a great week, Lynnexxx
Hello Lynne, I'm short on extra bedrooms, but you can sleep on Gypsy Rose, she'll gently rock you to sleep at night :) If you come bring some of your Mollies with you . . . we could use a little UK fun and frolicking over here :) Have fun at the Ely Folk Festival I can not wait to see your photos. I'm coming right over as soon as I say , bye . . . Bye :)
DeleteI really enjoyed your photo show! Imagining listening as you play your music together (I would perhaps bring my piano and play along ;)), or grilling pizza!! I had no idea you could do that! How does he get the nice color on top of it?? And the country fair (you know I was born in '75 and it was a HOT summer over here, I'm told)... I loved the summer tour :). Thank you for sharing! I guess summer time is the best.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Here's hoping that your summer is filled with sunshine and good times. Cooking pizza in a hot grill is probably the closest to a pizza oven, it turns out sooooooooooooooooo good :)
DeleteLovely photographic summer memories Connie.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteHello from Texas...just came from Miss Ginny's blog.
ReplyDeleteLove all your neat photos! Looks like you all had a blast!

Summertime is made for fun . . . whether it is big gatherings or sitting in the shade with a good book. I even love pulling weeds. As long as I'm outdoors, I'm loving it :)
DeleteWonderful series of pics!I enjoyed them very much, you have caught the magic of summer on film! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Myrna, it is great to see you, thanks for the visit and for the lovely comment. I'm happy that you like my photos :)
DeleteI'm glad you liked the photos. That red neck tub is getting used, it sure feels good after mowing the yard and pulling weeds in the flower beds. I'm short enough that I can actually float on an air mattress in that tub, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, I love your summer time family pics!! They made me smile!! I'm assuming that is a pic of you and Steve in younger years?? LOVE that! So enjoyed this....this is what life is all about!! I know in my heart you guys would be wonderful friends and would be such a joy to be around!! Blessings~~~Roxie

DeleteAwesome summer pictures, love the family photos and the pizza on the grill! :)
ReplyDeleteHe makes some mouth watering pizza :)
DeleteThese photos definitely show the top contenders for the reasons I love summer too. I find though that I'm warming up more to springs and autumns as well. At last we have warm weather here in Vancouver. I wonder who can spit a watermelon seed the farthest? You or Steve? Or maybe the kids...?
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie, Steve is the only person in our family that doesn't like watermelon . . . oh well, more for me :)
