I Love Paris. Oh, Why Do I Love Paris
Some of you may remember this song.
It was sung by all four of these artists, and more,
and a huge hit in the mid 1950's.
From everything that I have ever heard,
once you visit this city ~ a piece of your heart stays there.
It's the most loved city in the world.
The next few photos are the same page of the book,
but with the heart pages flipped :)
Valentine's Day . . . can you think of a better place to spend it?
My question is: is Paris the city of lights, or the city of love?
Was her true love him,
or was she caught up in her love of,
All Things French :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Find love in all the blessings around you.
Love is everywhere . . .
"I love Steven,
Oh, why do I love Steven . . ."
I should write my own love song.
Here's wishing you a song in your heart,
all weekend long.
Your blogging sister,
Ooh I love it Connie. Such a beautiful journal about such a romantic city. And yes I do remember the song and now I find myself humming it. Have a wonderfully loving weekend with your Steve.

Hi Patricia, I'm sure with your travels that you have been there . . . for me it's a dream, but hey, you never grow too old to dream, right :) Thanks so much for stopping by you have become a lovely and most precious friend.
DeleteI adore the big heart, which is a book within a book, and glorious! And the crow as well. Paris is both the city of love AND the city of lights!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, it is always a pleasure to see your profile photo in my list of comments. You’re a honey pie and I truly enjoy our friendship. I’m glad that you like my journal :)
DeleteI love this post about Paris very much! Paris is definitely the city of light and the city of love.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny my husband's name is Steven. LOL!
Thank you for this!
Ellya
Hello Ellya, it is so nice to have you stop by and visit. I'm delighted that you like my journal, I do have fun making things. France has always been a dream of mine, I'm a romantic at heart. Our bodies grow older each year, but our hearts can stay as young and as fresh as a summer rain. I for one intend on always being young at heart :) My husband and I still hold hands when we walk together and anytime is wants a kiss, I'm there. Thanks again for stopping by and please come again :)
DeleteConnie, I love this journal. Great job of gathering so much about Paris. I have always loved hearing Nat King Cole sing. What a beautiful voice. Enjoy your weekend. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, Nat has a silver voice doesn't he. My favorites are, Embraceable You, Unforgettable, Mona Lisa, and of course the beautiful, I Love You For Sentimental Reasons. Some of the older music from the 50's is unbeatable. Thank you for dropping in, I adore company and love getting to know you better with each visit :)
DeleteLove those old romantic songs! Your journal is wonderful - love the turning heart pages. I have never been to Paris, but my two eldest children had the good fortune to go with their French class in high school. My son went back and proposed to his sweetheart there. They have been married two years on Sept. 3rd. Enjoy your weekend - hopefully listening to some wonderful old love songs.
ReplyDeleteHugs xoxo
Karen
Hi Karen, There were some wonderfully romantic songs back in the 50's and I do enjoy them. Thanks so much for stopping by, I love company :)
DeleteParis....I can only dream I guess. Probably will never get to see Paris only through pictures and movies about Paris. You are very creative, you put that journal together yourself...really nice. have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHi Louise, I have been working on this journal for a long time now. I'm slowing discovering fun facts about France and her people . . . more reasons to want to travel there. Like you, probably only in my dreams, but making this journal is a fun little adventure.
DeleteI love your journal that's awesome. I say Paris is the city that I will never get to see....lol
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, well, we have another thing in common, but we can dream :)
DeleteWow- LOVE this post, Connie. My granddaughter is all about Paris..and wait till you see the phone I made over for her room tomorrow. Your journals are always amazing!!!! Love it! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I just popped over and looked at the phone, she is going to love it :)
DeleteLet me first say I adore your journal pages. Journaling is something I've just started and your pages are inspirational. Paris...what can one say except it's a gorgeous city. I was there in May and June last year at the beginning and end of our two month holiday in Europe. I fell in love immediately and hope to go back one day to enjoy more of the city.
ReplyDeleteAnne xx
Hello Anne, I am delighted to hear that you were there and that you loved it. I am having fun creating this book and dreaming :) You should do a journal on your trip to Europe, it would make a wonderful keepsake :)
DeleteYou have such a lovely journal, Connie! Nat Cole was always one of my favourites, such a lovely voice.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, thank you and yes, he certainly has a marvelous voice, like velvet :)
DeleteParis! I love your journal! It is beautiful! Of course, all of your work is beautiful. Thanks, for stopping by my blog. I believe you should open a shop on etsy and begin selling your creations. If you market your products, you will be successful. Most people open an etsy shop and wait for customers. No can do! You have to pull out the marketing megaphone every day. It gets tiresome, but if you are dedicated and continue filling your little shop with sweet little treasures, people will flock to you. Love and joy! Cynthia
ReplyDeleteHi Cynthia, you are so encouraging. I am just frighten to take the leap. I know that I have nothing to fear, and hearing your kind words is very inspiring. Thank you.
DeleteI have never been to, this is still my dream
ReplyDeleteMine too :)
DeleteWhat an awesome journal! The collaged pages are filled with awesome scenes!
ReplyDeleteHi Anita, coming from you, that is a huge compliment. Your paper crafts always blow my mind. You are the one who does awesome work :)
DeleteIt sounds almost like you are you planning a trip to Paris! Your journal pages are wonderful. Are you making your way through an old book by decorating all the pages?
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, yes that is exactly what I am doing, but not planning a trip, just dreaming :)
DeleteI enjoy your art books so much, Connie! Hey, I haven't looked at the map on how far away you guys are, but we will be in Toppenish at the reservation RV park next Friday-Sunday a.m. for Cary's cop reunion.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kathy M.
Hi Kathy, thanks for the sweet comment, you are a sweetie pie . . . I'm coming right over to visit :)
DeleteHi Connie,
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I remember the song. Probably sung by Nat King Cole. My mom loved him and we had quite a few of his records. My dad has been to Paris and he enjoyed it.
I love your journal pages dedicated to the city of love. I like how the heart flips and there are messages on every heart -- very cool!
Thanks for all your encouragement, no matter what is going on with me.
Peace,
Kay
