Christmas is in the air around here this week.
Not just with gift making but also with our weather.
Yesterday we had to turn the furnace on for the first time since early spring.

ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I don't really like thinking too much about Christmas before Thanksgiving, but when you are making your gifts, you have to get a head start :)
DeleteHi Connie....looks to me your are going to be pretty busy in the next month or so. I will have to pick up a copy of Cloth, Paper, Scissors in the next week. I see at the bottom ideas for adding layers to your photos....that might be a "must try" project. Although right now I have so many card projects brewing in my mind, don't know which way to go....guess that is a good thing.

I have always loved redwork. Simple and charming.
A friend of mine entered a blackwork piece in an art show. That was the first time I had ever seen blackwork..... quite pretty too.

I think that blues would be pretty, too. I get lost in Midwest magazine . . . it conjures up daydreams of childhood and Indiana :)

I also have two sisters that live in Mt. Vernon, Indiana and my hubby is from Evansville. We've spent lots of time up there, and still go on a regular basis. I love the pretty countryside! Hi Donna, the last time that I was in Indiana was about ten years ago, but it is always in my heart. I was born in South Bend and spent most of my childhood in Michigan City :) I have a lot of relatives in the Greencastle area, this is where my grandma lived.
DeleteI adore that red material and the horses are lovely. I am really in to red at the moment and have decided that my winter colours for the snug will be red, not sure about summer yet but I am thinking maybe turquoise. Enjoy yourself with your Christmas preparations xxx

ReplyDeleteI am having a lot of fun with it . . . I do have to confess that yesterday I worked on it from 9 A.M. until 8 P.M. with nothing but a lunch break. I've got it pieced and had the back and batting on based together before I quit . . . next will be the actual quilting :)
