Finished quilt!
This quilt is made of shirt flannel . . .
very warm and cozy:)
I counldn't show it before, because
it was a Christmas present
and I didn't want to take the chance
of it being seen before Christmas.
The back.
I made one other Christmas quilt . . .
and in my hurry to get it in the mail
in time . . .
I forgot to take a photo, LOL.
I lost a good post opportunity:)
Here's wishing you all a lovely day . . .
If you have cold weather,
Please stay warm . . .

Keep That Pretty Smile
On Your Face.
Your blogging sister,

That looks so cosy and warm. I bet it will be treasured by whoever received it
ReplyDeleteMy dear hubby is laid-up with a bad foot . . . so he is all wrapped up in this quilt recuperating:)
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous quilts and I know they will be well loved. It IS cold here -2F this morning. I'm ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I was just looking on-line at garden seed this morning. We are of the same mind set, LOL.
DeleteSpring will be here before you know it:)
Beautiful quilts Connie! Love that you signed and dated them. You do beautiful needle work.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
DeleteOld shirts make the best quilts, Connie - love yours.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm - it's very COLD here - we're not used to it so we're being wimps.
The older we get the less we like cold weather, too, but we do like living in an area with four seasons:)
DeleteHow cozy that lovely quilt must be. I'm sure the lucky recipient will find lots of times to cuddle up in it.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you didn't get a pic of the other quilt. Stay warm!!
I'm visiting them this spring, so I'll try and take a couple of pictures of it then. We have had so much company that I was rushing to just get it done and in the mail in time for Christmas.
DeleteThat looks a lovely warm quilt.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's very warm . . . perfect for our cold winter weather :)
DeleteThat is a gorgeous quilt!!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . it's the first flannel quilt that I've made. It is so warm that I know I'll be making more :)
DeleteConnie, we will all be wanting a nice flannel quilt these next few days. It's bitter cold here...but we are blessed compared to so many getting tons of snow. Stay warm and safe there. You do very good work on your quilts. The little sign at the bottom makes it more sweet. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, thank you . . . we are having very cold weather too, but so far not much snow. I wouldn't mind it at all if we didn't see anymore snow at all this winter:)
DeleteOh a flannel quilt sounds wonderful. How I'd love one of them. They must be so warm and cozy!!
ReplyDeleteThey are extra warm and great for the cold weather this time of year. He is laid up with a bad foot and enjoying his cozy quilt while recouping :)
DeleteVery pretty! I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I needed it to be very masculine and the flannel and dark colors did that so well :) Warm too!!!
DeleteA beautiful gift made with love, what could be better? It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteHi Connie, I am sorry that Steve is laid up with his foot but I think that quilt will make him feel better! I finished my flanel lap top quilt but so far have not given it to anyone! I don't like making flannel quilts but they sure are nice and warm! I hope you are doing well. Nancy
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed making this quilt and have decided to make one for myself . . . these can be your quilts we pull out each winter when the weather is cold. We like keeping our home a little bit cooler that most people (63/65) so at night when we watch TV we always have a warm quilt handy:)
DeleteWhat a beautiful quilt. I bet it will be a treasured gift that's going to keep someone very warm and cozy. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteHe is under it right now, recuperating with a bad foot :)
DeleteAll cozy and warm.
That is a BEAUTIFUL quilt Connie! I love flannel and flannelette! So warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteIt's very warm . . . great for winter :)
DeleteYour cozy warm flannel quilt has a fun improv style!
ReplyDeleteI never have a complete plan when I start a quilt . . . they just grow as I stitch along, LOL.
DeleteWow, what a beautiful quilt! Someone is going to stay warm under that for sure.
ReplyDeleteA warm quilt and a good book . . . sounds like a perfect winter day :)
DeleteA flannel quilt would feel really good about right now.....love it.
ReplyDeleteThank You :)
DeleteYour quilt looks cozy and warm - lucky gift recipient.
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . he loves it.
DeleteWhat a perfect time for a big warm flannel quilt!! It's freezing here...unusually cold for us. I love flannel! The first quilt I ever made (I'm not a good quilt maker) was made from old flannel shirts and robes, with a few patches of denim. We still use it. Hope Steve's foot gets well real soon. Happy New Year to you both!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet, I'll past that on to him . . . He is feeling better, but still not able to put much weight on it. It's cold here too and he's enjoying his quilt :)
DeleteThe quilt is simply beautiful, Connie. Did you come up with the pattern on your own? I love it! Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, every quilt that i've made has been my own design . . . I'm better at creating than I am at following directions, LOL. I think it's more fun that way, too.
DeleteYour flannel quilt looks so snugly and warm. Great gift!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteBeautiful! And we are in the middle of weeks long deep freeze so it looks really warm and cozy to me!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too . . . but then January and February are usually our coldest months. Compared to last winter we are having a heat wave, LOL. Last year was the worst I'd ever seen in our area and I've lived here for 44 years :)
DeleteThis really does look so warm and cosy, perfect for warming up on cooler days.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours too.
Sending my good wishes
All the best Jan
Hi Jan, it's sweet of you to drop in, thanks for your kind words:)
DeleteThat's so beautiful! And your close-up photo of the flannel fabric show something that will be so warm and snugly. Good work!!
