Six years ago today, January 6, 2012,
I published my first ever post.
I published my first ever post.
I was excited and a little bit afraid,
but it has been an absolute blessing.
I've made friends from all over the world
and learned so much about traditions
and cultures from around the world.
Learning these things from everyday
people living their normal lives,
is so much better that learning from
text books and travel magazines.
It has made the world seem much smaller . . .
and has made me realize
that we all are after
the same thing.
A good life for our families and ourselves.
Time to enjoy doing the things we love
and spending time with the people we love.
We are all the same . . .and yet
very different
I have been inspired . . .
encouraged . . .
up lifted . . .
and loved.
I truly hope that with my blog
I have passed all this love along
to each of you . . .because I love you all.

I have passed all this love along
to each of you . . .because I love you all.
and have been blessed
by each and every one of you.
This is my thank you.

I could echo your words easily. I have found the same through my blog and I’m so grateful for the friends that I have made. Happy Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Happy Blogaversary!!! I loved seeing all your art journal drawings! Such a great talent. I can barely draw a straight line. So glad you're a part of this wonderful community.
ReplyDeleteI've not read your blog for that long but I love it! I never would have taken up kayaking if I hadn't stumbled across your online home!
ReplyDeleteThe giveaway is very generous. I feel we should be giving you gifts instead of you giving us more gifts than what we already get from reading your posts!
Grace & Peace,
Pam
Hi Connie, I sure hope that my name is listed among those over 1000 delightful followers because I enjoy reading your blogs so much. You are one of my favorites and I am glad that I had the pleasure of meeting you through blogland. Kinda neat too that you use to live not far from me. Wish you still did!! Have a wonderful day! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your creativity with us. We are all alike in more ways than we are different. Your art journal is a wonderful expression of your thoughts! Happy Blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteI have loved seeing what you post for a few years now Connie. I've loved being given a virtual tour of your house and garden, and can just feel the warmth that you radiate with each post. The difference that you have made to your once humble home and garden is astonishing and inspiring.it really is! Thank you so much, and I wish you continued good health and happiness.

Happy Blogaversary Connie, it has been lovely getting to know you through our blogs! Have a wonderful New Year!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversay, Connie! I've really enjoyed reading this post, blogging certainly makes the world seem smaller.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very generous giveaway. xx
Such a generous giveaway. Congratulations on your Blogaversary, I too have loved every moment of learning from so many others
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you! And I've been very blessed to get to know you over the years. I liked you right away when you said we were blogging sisters...girlfriends. That made me feel special, as it does everyone that visits you. You wrote one of the sweetest comments on my blog recently and I've kept it in my inbox. (it was about my altered books) And I LOVE your art journal pages! WOW! You always inspire me! Happy blogging, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteThe world of blogging couldn't have been described any better than the words you have written! What I have enjoyed the most id the sharing of ideas - I remember in the 80's going to craft show and the crafters would not share any of their "secrets" or "how to's" with anyone - NOW we all share and lift each other up - and that's the way it should be! Happy Anniversary for 6 years of blogging and hopefully many more!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary. It's been so much fun following along and seeing all your wonderful projects
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blog anniversary. Thanks so much for the generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, I'm not entering the giveaway, I'm commenting just because.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful, lovely, sweet post. I appreciate your upbeat approach to life. And the time that it takes to answer each comment, along with the post creation. I don't remember where I found your blog, but I surely do thank whoever directed my attention your way. Congratulations on your 6th anniversary! It was fun to read the overview of those 6 years. I'm looking forward to your 2018 posts!
Blessings!
Beautiful post to celebrate your Blogiversary!Congratulations and good luck for all your followers!Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore getting a peek into your art journal! Happy Blogaversary!!!! I'm already a happy follower....wishing you continued happiness on your creative journey.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is such a blessing and I enjoy it as much as you do.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 6 years of blogging.
Happy Blogiversary!! That is what I love about visiting everyone's posts you do see things from all over the world and make friends. Love your Hexi quilt, I have always wanted to make one and haven't done it yet.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 6 years of blogging! I can't remember if I had ever officially followed your blog so I clicked the follow button again. Although I'm not 'crafty' I enjoy all your creations.
ReplyDeleteI love your altered art pages! We both love many of the same things. Congratulations on your blogaversary! Happy to call you friend. Thanks for letting me know about your give away. :)
ReplyDeletehugs,

Dear Connie, I read your blog on Bloglovin, where I follow all my favourite people!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a constant inspiration to me. This is going to be the year I tackle the Colombian doll pattern I bought from you ages ago.
Wishes for a fantastic 2018!
I am a follower and love reading your blog. Happy Anniversary on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI love to meet new bloggers, esp. from Canada. The best part is taking the time to scroll through archived posts to learn more! This was such a delightful and creative post, I’m looking forward to that journey. Happy New Year, Happy Blogaversary!

That's very sweet Connie to offer a nice gift like that! Happy Blogoversary! :) I'm sure I did NOT spell that right. I feel the same as you do. I don't have any "real life" friends, but all of my Blogging friends mean so much to me. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy HAPPY bloggin-Anniversary ! Just discovered your blog and LOVE it ! Thanks for the invitation !
ReplyDeleteI found your blog after you visited me and commented. I will enjoy visiting in the future, Happy Blogging Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteBlogging sisters ARE wonderful! I haven't reached the point of "around the world" friends yet, but am so happy to be making friends in the U.S.A. all over! Sometimes I wish there could be a blogging sisters meetup... and here probably is something similar! I do so enjoy connecting with ladies from all over and learning about their lifestyles and families and homes, etc. I really treasure this venue also! Happy Monday! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI’ve made many friends in blogland and been constantly inspired by them over the years.
ReplyDeleteMany I’ve met in real life. It’s like meeting a pen friend.
I also like how blogging helps a person to grow and develop their own style.
Happy blog anniversary Connie
I just happened by your blog but it looks like we have quite a few things in common- Love of... creating things, making music, gardening and spending time on the water.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Love, love, love your art journal! I think I will try my hand at one of those during these cold winter months...what fun to use all of your talents in one place! Love your artwork. Stunning. And here I thought you were only a quilter/crafter lady with a big sense of color. What other hidden talents do you have? This is an amazing world here, isn't it? I have met the most amazing, loving, praying women. Good people with big hearts.
ReplyDeleteConnie, I appreciate this post very much, and I just love your charming blog. The picture of the feet is funny. Yes, we are alike, but different in many ways. And your tomato garden, oh my. I used to help my dad in his garden growing up, and he would come in with the most wonderful tomatoes and veggies. I'll have to remember National Wear Red Day, as I love RED! Yes, I would love a chance to win your giveaway, and thank you for all the delightful posts you share with us.
ReplyDeletelove, Sheri
Hello Connie
ReplyDeleteSo happy to meet you. You have three fantastic blogs. I enjoyed them all
Connie, thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and letting me know about your giveaway. I've just returned from a two month break from blogging to give myself some time to heal after the passing of my dear mother and am just starting to get back in the routine. Blogging has been a very positive experience for me as well. There are so many wonderful people out there. I love it how God brings folks together. You have such a lovely post reflecting back over the six years you've been blogging. xx
ReplyDeleteConnie -- Not only have you spread love with your blog(s), you have impressed us all with your crafty talents and artistic talent. I love browsing your blog! Thanks for inviting me to join in. It's my absolute pleasure!
ReplyDeleteI love following your blog! You've inspired me with positive thoughts so many times! Happy Blogiversary!

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! Love the tea with friends verse!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea when I began following you that you had just begun blogging. I also started my blog in January of 2012.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you blog.
Eh bien je vous souhaite plein succès pour la suite de votre blog
ReplyDeleteBest regards of Switzerland
I really like the way you change your banners periodically. I wish I knew how. The last time I tried I mess something up and had to pay to get it fixed. Won't go there again. I think its the fact that it is your personal pictures that make it so homey. Congratulations on your 6th year of blogging, I'm just entering my third. I'm not going to celebrate mine until I can go the whole year through with out stopping. Now that I'm retired and caught up with everything, I hope that is this year.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessing sent your way
Love your Quilting! You have some beautiful creations!
ReplyDeleteLia
My comment from the other day did not appear. So , now I'll try to comment again. Happy blog anniversary.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented. I'm a blogging "brother" but love everything you do. I'm also a new follower. Thanks for stopping my blog (and it reminds me, I need to host a giveaway soon, it's been awhile).
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about your give-away! And I love seeing the pretty crafts you make here on your blog. They are unique and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I read this and didn't leave a comment last week. Here I am.
ReplyDeleteConnie love your banners all of them.....you put your heart and sole in all you do . When I come to visit I always am amazed by your talent and slightly jealous of your summer gardens lol We can always count on a heart warming story or a creative craft here. Thanks for being a great bloggersister and friend. Lisa@ Sweet Tea N' Salty Air
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how many times I have dreamed of a cottage in France.
