Camping In The 5th Wheel.

Hello Sweet Blogging Sisters!
We just got back from our
first camping trip in our 5th wheel.
Steve made a beef stew over the fire.
We ate it before I thought to take a photo, LOL.

I promise that my blog is not turning
into a travel and camping blog . . .
it's just spring and we're taking a break
and doing some fun things :)

These are photos from our weekend.
I will be back to gardening, quilting and crafting very soon :)

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Spring babies :)

They had a sweet walking path
along the lake.

Also, a great place to swim,
but not until summer :)

Well, that's it.

I hope that you are taking time
to have a little fun this spring.

Tell me about it:)

Keep Smiling!

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

    1. One of my favorite things about camping is that Steve enjoys cooking outside on an open fire. Sitting around the campfire laughing and telling old stories while watching him make dinner . . . it's all fun :)

  2. I loved reading about your camping trip and seeing the photos. We opened up our trailer last weekend. The wind lifted the cover right off for us when the strap was unfastened! We’re going to have our first weekend at the lake this weekend. I can’t wait. I’ve been getting things ready for the last couple of weeks to set it up for the summer. I enjoy reading about all of your activities so don’t ever feel you need to apologize to me. Did you go to the campground near Moses Lake?

    1. This campground is in Coulee City, WA. It is on Banks Lake, and the same park where we used to moor our sailboat for the summer. There is also a State Park on this lake called Steamboat Rock, we have reservation there later in the year. Have fun this weekend and take lots of photos:)

  7. Looks like a beautiful place to camp. We haven't been able to go camping yet. Between the weather and my Mister's work schedule, it seems like we are never going to go! Actually, we are going in mid-May! YaY! Love the pictures!

    1. It's a nice place all year round. The lake is very cold and clear and not really warm enough to swim until mid July.

  9. It's your blog, and it can be about anything you enjoy! Mine is all about spring wildflowers right now. When I remember to blog at all! I always find it interesting that baby geese are surrounded by several adults, while baby ducklings can often be seen paddling around solo. Enjoy your camping, and SPRING!!

  11. We are planning on buying a camper next year. Hopefully a used one that we can fix up. It is getting closer to Hubbys retirement and we will need one. Love seeing your trip.

    1. Hi Betty, We have spent many hours the last couple of years looking at campers on craig's list and getting an idea of what we could get for our budget. While we were looking we were saving, and then this year when we were ready to purchase a used one, we knew what we wanted. We took our time, until the perfect one for us came along. I wish you all the best in finding your perfect home on wheels, too :)

  15. I love anything you post on your blog! It's all fun... and I do enjoy seeing people camping and sitting around the fire.. and all the lake and water pictures are wonderful. this is the best time of year to go, as you can still have a real campfire! As it gets later, probably past Mid June or so, most places won't let you have a campfire anymore due to the dryness (east of the mountains). I would LOVE to see the inside of your camper again... as I always enjoy seeing what you do to make it your little home. We have a long ways to go on our little truck camper, but we hope to be able to use it later this summer. Hubby found a new back door for it (with glass, not that yucky foggy plastic stuff) so we can sit inside and look out the back door window (as we sit by the lake!).... hope hope. Little by little is how it goes. There's nothing like a good "get away" now and then, even if for only a couple of days. We have 3 cats at home, so can't be gone too long, but now that our "catio" is done, they can be in the garage and go outside to the catio to enjoy some fresh air! I still hate leaving them alone too long.. they miss us! Enjoy those wonderful weather! Hugs.. Marilyn

  16. Hi Connie, The pictures of your scenery look so relaxing. Love the babies. You are making wonderful memories. We loved our fifth-wheel. Do you like yours more than your motor home was it you had? Nancy

    1. We like it way more than the motor-home. It is roomer, we can walk all the way around the bed, instead of crawling over it to make it, but one of the best features is that we can drop the 5th wheel and go exploring without breaking up camp.

  17. Beautiful photos Connie. Camping is so peaceful and it's nice to get away from it all.
I'm waiting for the snow to melt here in Eastern Quebec so I can see my flowers coming out. Spring is later this year.
Take care and enjoy the rest of Spring.

    1. We do have lives that hopefully are well rounded. Camping is our new replacement for boating, it's a better fit for our retirement years. I still have room to stick my kayak on board and do that, too :)
