I have been admiring these
BoHo dream-catcher wreaths on Pinterest
and decided to make one of my own.
I started my stretching a doily across the
inside ring of an embroidery hoop.
I used a glue stick and clothes pins to security it.
When the glue was dry 10 minutes or so,
I removed the clothes pins
and put the outside ring over the smaller one.
Next I went through my stash of ribbons,
fancy yarns, and string.
I cut long pieces being sure they were
twice as long as I wanted them to be.
I looped them somewhere close to the center
and pulled them through the bottom edge
of the doily.
All you need to do here is loop them
They will stay nicely in place.
Next, because I wanted a pretty silky flower,
I went to my fancy fabric basket.
And followed the directions at
The Polka Dot Closet.
Carol was one of the first blogs
that I fell head over heels
in love with years ago.
Now, she doesn't blog, but instead runs one of
the most successful Vintage Flea Markets
in Orlando, Florida.
If you are planning a trip to
Florida in June,
She'll be posting dates here:
Next I hot glued my finished
flowers onto my wreath.
A lot of pretty for an easy project.
Here it is hanging in the Art Barn,
along with one of my paintings,
and a fabric chair that I painted
a couple of years ago.
Well, tell me is this wreath a project
that you would try making?
