How could I ever have thought
of quitting my blog.
Thank you all for your friendship
your love, your kind words . . .
You have all touched my heart.
I praise the Lord today
for the gift of friendship.
When walking through difficult times
the encouragement,
love and prayers of good friends
is refreshing
it wrapped me in warmth and comfort.
I praise the Lord for friends that embrace
and that don’t have all the answers,
But instead,
remind me that my answers are found
in the truth and power of God’s word.
My last post was received with
more love than I ever expected,
and I feel so blessed
&
I just want to say,
Thank You.
Goodwill Finds.
Last week I went to the Goodwill
and found these two books.
And this darning hen.
Here she sits on the mantel.
Again I say thank you . . .
All of you that commented on my last post
have been so encouraging.
Thank you, Thank you
&
Thank you.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Though I don’t reply often, you are a precious sister that I think about often...Have a joy filled weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWish we could do more. Your faith in God is so inspiring to us all.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how we make such close contacts with people we may never meet, but they become as known to us as friends living nearby. So glad you are not going to disappear, because we all need to know how you and your husband are, so that we may pray for the needs of the moment.
ReplyDeleteI need to thank you for always posting and sharing your life with us. Its a chore that I don't tackle but am so thankful for those of you who do. You are an inspiration to me. I've never told you how much I love you and your posts. Many thanks. I especially loved your kayaking with friend posts and your camping posts with your husband. I pray that there are many outings in you and your husbands future. Take care of the two of you and rest yourself too. Caregivers can wear themselves out, so please care for yourself. Many thanks from a grateful heart.

Your blog, your testimony and faith are such a blessing to me! And it's also a joy to pray for our friends. Glad you're staying!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet! How wonderful that the love and caring of virtual friends can uphold and bless a person.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how many times I had thought of writing a farewell post, especially when so many of my friends left blogging, and went to other social media, I love blogging and love connecting with ladies from all over the world. I am happy you decided to stay especially since I am just getting to know you .I Don't visit everyday in blogland as I am so busy this time of year, but try and visit when possible.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your new found treasures, the hen looks perfect on you mantle.
Have a blessed weekend.
Sue
I know life is difficult for you both at the moment, but you know readers who consider you our friend are thinking of you and what you are going through. I love how you get joy in simple pleasures, such as your book finds and your garden. Stay strong, best wishes from New Zealand
ReplyDeleteConnie, I had to go to the previous post...left a comment. I am so glad you are staying. I love how sweet your neighbor was to share those beautiful roses. Cute chicken find. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love to you both, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeletep.s. Ted and I are home now. He has many appts , but the good news is his bone marrow transplant took...he is all donor now. God is good.
I know how you are feeling right now because my blog friends are the ones who kept me going after Wade passed away. The love and encouragement was so heartwarming. Even though I wish there was more that I could do or had some magic words to make it all better I do know that just letting someone know you care can sometimes be enough. I think of you often and pray for you both.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the little hen you found at the thrift store. You have such a knack for putting things together to make the most delightful decorations for your home
Hi Connie, I have found your kindness and graciousness to be an inspiration. I continue to pray that God will bless you and your hubby. Thank you for sharing your creative ideas through your blog. Thank you for your kind comments on mine. John
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for blogging friends also.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and white hen!!
Oh Connie, what a sweet and humbling post. I'm very happy you're going to continue blogging. You, Steve and your faith are an inspiration and blessing to me.
ReplyDeleteI love that sweet darning hen too. She's beautiful.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your blog is adorable,a blessing. God bless you both.
ReplyDeleteAnd we are also blessed to have you for a friend and read your blog postings. Thank you for continuing! Nice that you could get out to a thrift store. Prayers continue to go up. Nancy
ReplyDeleteI so LOVE your chicken! I love blue and white pieces, if they're small... I don't have a large collection by any means, maybe ten items, but each has a special meaning.
ReplyDeleteYou are much loved by many people. I believe that God steers us on our paths... maybe He even sends blog friends to us at the right times, yes? I'm glad I stumbled upon your blog last week. You and your husband are on my daily prayer list. Remember, we serve a big God... He is bigger than anything that comes against us. Hugs and blessings to you both! ♥
Oh how I love your art page! Go back in there and draw me with really short hair with LOTS of layers! hahahaha! Love you both, Diane
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're staying with us.
ReplyDeleteHurrah for blogging sisters!!
ReplyDeleteI love your daisies and the roses and the great drawing of the sisterhood that women create for each other! Your new darning hen looks so cheerful on the mantel!
Such a lovely and humbling post, I am thrilled you are going to continue blogging. You are an inspiration and support to us all.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie- even though the seas are vast between our countries- I feel I know you well as if you resided just around the corner from me...be lovely to pop over for a cuppa an a chat with you and Steve there at your lovely home and share some time together. The ceramic blue and white hen looks great on display on your mantle piece. Best Wishes. KEV.
ReplyDeleteWhere else but in the blogging world are we embraced with such love, warmth, gentleness, friendship and so many other blessings. I always find it amazing that we knock on each other's virtual door, visit, cheering and lifting one another up. 'Tis a most wonderful thing. It makes my heart smile that you are encouraged by everyone's sweet comments, thoughts and prayers. In those moments, when sometimes it can all be too much may you be reminded that we are all thinking of you and your Steve. As for that sweet little birdie.....how precious it is.
ReplyDeleteI am behind on blog reading and just now read this post - but I haven't read the previous one yet. Will do so after I comment on this post. I love your blue and white hen - I would've snatched that up in a heartbeat! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteYour hen is so sweet!!!
Love and hugs for sure....I still pray for you two.
ReplyDeleteSome days are just harder than others. When Roger has a day that he says he does not feel right, it is so very hard to do anything. It strikes fear in my heart....I thank God that he does not have them often. And every now and then he will have a few days where he is not himself....those are so very stressful. It is hard for me to pray for myself or anyone on those days.
It's easy to love someone as sweet and kind as you. That darning hen is adorable, and that idiot's guide :) is exactly the book I need to look for.
ReplyDeleteYes it IS such a blessing to have our blogging friends and sisters! We are all truly blessed, we who share or lives. The blue and white chicken is darling and looks great sitting on that oh-so-beautiful mantel that Your Steve built. Love it.. and also love the art pages of the blogging sisters.. did you paint that? So meaningful and so true. Your wagon wheel and flowers is so farmy and so country... love it! Have a blessed week. xoxoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are sticking with it and I love your sisterhood of blogging friends :) The flowers on the wagon wheel is so pretty and I love your paper wreath too. Fun finds at goodwill, I love that hen! Hope your week is off to a good start, hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I've been missing your posts while I was off packing up the house getting ready to close it out. We sold finally on July 9th and we are "homeless" while looking for our next hometown and better care for Wild Bill. I'm so glad you are continuing to fill our lives with glimpses of your beautiful country home.
