Never Say Never

Hello Sweet Friends!

This post will hopefully be

an encouragement to never say never.

We have all said at times,

"oh, I could never learn to do that".

Well, sometimes circumstances

put us in a place where we are

willing to learn something

that we never, in a hundred years,

thought we would do.

Welcome to Garden Tractor 101

😊

No, I won't be teaching a class,

but showing you that you can

learn to do most anything from

You Tube :)

This is a dirty air filter.

Isn't it pretty, LOL.

And this is a clean one all

replaced by, drum roll, please . . .

Me!

Not only that, but I drained

the old oil, filled it back will

bright and shiny new oil and

replaced the old oil filter with

a new one.

This lovely season is not all

about beautiful gardens and

gorgeous blooms,

as all home owners know,

it's about maintenance, too.

Oh, I also dug out the weeds in this

area between the yard and the driveway.

I'll soon be getting gravel to

fill it all in . . .

I think it will look so much better.

Steve and I had talked about doing

this . . . so I'm very happy

to be getting it done.

Well, that's my post . . .

thank you so much for stopping

by to say, Hi.

Let me leave you with this . . .

I am determined and confident!

I am not afraid or discouraged,

for the Lord my God is

with me wherever I go.

                 Joshua 1:9

Have a lovely week . . .

Your blogging sister,

Connie :)

  2. I am very impressed! I do not think I would have had the guts to try that tractor/mower maintenance! You go, girl! as they say. And your blooms are gorgeous. I love the new edge to your yard. The curves give it a very graceful look.

  3. It is true that you can learn to do just about anything via You Tube! Good for you! We have replaced all of our front flower bed mulch with river rock and I love how it looks. And it sure cuts down on the weeding! Your flowers are so pretty! Enjoy the rest of your week.

I'm so proud of you my friend. The Lord gives you strength each and every day for each task that you have ahead of you.

  6. Great job with the tractor. I learn along time ago to never say never. Sometimes you just have to do it, of course I always do the screaming and kicking all the way first.

  8. Can you hear me wildly applauding? For me, when I do something that I never knew how to nor never needed to know how to, I get a great sense of accomplishment.

  9. Hi Connie- I'm so pleased for you that you've become a John Deere Tractor Mechanic- well done there. Yes, there are certain times in our lives that when we reflect upon it - we're spurred on to make the absolute best of our lot. My life has changed since having a Heart Operation back in April of last year- I've found that certain things that interested me previously seem no longer important and recently I've re-discovered a Hobby that appeals to me ever so greatly and I'm looking forward to the years ahead. Love and Best Wishes. KEV. (Sydney- Australia).

  13. That is amazing! Of course, I always thought you could do "anything"! I can't even drive a riding mower. Poppy drives, I use a push mower. I love that cute puppy in the picture. Your flowers are beautiful, as always.

  14. Wow Connie! You are awesome and you must be SO VERY PROUD of yourself! As the old saying went "necessity is the Mother of invention".. but at times in our lives it becomes "necessity is the Mother of DO IT YOURSELF!"...... when there's no one else to do it, we have to do it ourselves and there really IS such a great feeling of accomplishment.. and we give ourselves a shoulder pat and feel much stronger for doing it! I love your curved driveway area.. it will be beautiful when done (and hope YOU are not hauling all the gravel in!)... hee hee.... I love the scripture too... is a very good reminder for us, of all ages. I bet your flowers and blooms are overflowing everywhere! Hugs to you... Marilyn

  18. I agree YT is a sometimes a good resource. It's an opinion and take the advice with a grain of salt, sometimes you actually do find the correct answer there. Good job Connie.
