Last Monday I took Beulah
to Petco for a spa treatment.
Why do we treat our dogs
better than we treat ourselves, LOL.
While she was getting pampered
I went to our Senior Center
Thrift Store and purchased two
old wooden chairs . . .
with dirty old padded seats.
$5 each
After getting them home
and spray painted them . . .
and recovered the seats. . .
Here's how they turned out.
I'm very happy with
the finished re-do :)
So that's what I've been doing.
I hope this encourages any of
you that, like me,
furnish your homes on a tight budget.
God bless you all
and thanks for stopping by,
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
I love the chair makeovers! I think that is a very similar color to the one I used to paint my porch chairs. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeulah looks great with her haircut! I love what you have done with those chairs, they look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYour chair makeover is a great success. What a cozy dining room you have.
ReplyDeleteYou've transformed those chairs completely!! Good work. ( Pretty fabric that you chose for the seats).
ReplyDeleteBeulah has also been somewhat transformed. Her haircut sure changes the way she looks.
Those chairs are lovely. I sure with I had taken some lessons from you whe we were so close. Our new (second hand), dining room chairs are covered in cream colored material and definitely could use recovering but I don't have a clue how to do it. I think in the spring I'll watch some youtube videos and see if I can figure it out.
ReplyDeleteBuelah is lovely. She looks quite proud of herself. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy
Nice going there with the Chairs and Seat Covers- what a transformation- brilliant work CONNIE. Best Wishes. KEV.
ReplyDeleteBeulah looks adorable. Gibbs and I both got haircuts recently and his was way more than mine was.

Oh Connie.. Buelah looks a little puzzled!!! what happened to my fur coat?? (but she's so pretty!). Your chairs are just perfect and I love that color of blue.. and the cushions are so pretty! I like the calming colors of that teal blue. I find myself needing to be kept busy. Of course, with Christmas, I will be.. but after the first of the year, then what? Well then I guess I tackle organizing my garage. Love to you... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteConnie, you are AMAZING ! I love your style and your home !
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing, Connie, so professional, and a lovely colour.
ReplyDeleteI like your chairs very much. And Beulah looks quite pleased with herself. Who is the little sweetie in the background?
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous chairs now! The lines of them are fantastic, and the paint color and recovered pads just look terrific. You really hit the jackpot with those. Beulah is looking fine and festive, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat did Beulah think of her hair cut experience, I wonder? You always work wonders on your woodwork makeovers, well done you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation in those chairs... well done! I love the color.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Connie. I love the "new" chairs. I also like that your chairs are different. That always makes me think of big family gatherings when every chair in the house was used. Praying you have a safe and happy holiday. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
