Flowers and Birthdays

Hello Dear Friends

It's been a very busy

few weeks . . .

Lots of gardening, home repair,

great times with friends & family

and one birthday after another.

I've been picking and enjoying

cut flowers from the garden.

The greenery in this bouquet

is Dill Weed and Carrot Stems.

These lovely Dahlias

are not from my garden,

but a gift from a dear friend

from her garden,

for my birthday.

These beautiful cards are just

some of what I received.

See the one with my glorious age

on it . . . that one is handmade

by Connie at Connie's Crafty Creations

https://conniescraftycreations.blogspot.com/

She makes lovely handmade greeting cards.

These two cakes I baked for

friend's having birthdays . . .

And this was my

Birthday Day cake made by my

Sweet Sister-In-Law.

She knew that I couldn't eat

cake . . .I can bake them,

but not eat them, LOL.

It was beautiful

and very delicious :)

💡💡💡💡💡

To change the subject . . .

I had this idea "💡"

I made a selfie video on

my android phone

and tried to download it

to put into this post.

I'm at a lost when it comes

to technology.

Do any of you know how to do this?

I sure could use some help 🫤

That's my post,

Thanks so much for visiting.

God bless you all.

I'll be looking forward

to reading your comments.

Keep Smiling,

Your blogging sister,

Connie :)

  2. Happy belated birthday. Love that cake. What a neat idea. When I put videos in my posts, I upload them to youtube first. Then I find the embeded code, copy and paste it into my blog in the html mode.

    1. Wow! That sounds complicated and I want it on my blog for a few, not on YouTube for the world . . . That's just too much for my face to be out there. I'm not an introvert but I am on the shy side.

    The flowers are pretty too.

  4. Happy happy birthday dear friend. Now we're both the same age. Your cards are lovely ( just like the well-loved recipient) and the idea of a watermelon cake would never have occurred to me. 💖💖💖

    1. I've been baking up a storm lately. Both those birthday cakes for friends then yesterday I did oatmeal raisin muffins for a Bible study and Wednesday night I'm making a creamsicle cake for a church function.

  6. Beautiful flowers, I just love bringing in flowers from the garden to enjoy :) Wow those cakes look so yummy, so sad that you couldn't enjoy them too but how creative was the one your sister in law made you that is so neat and I bet tasted really good. I am glad to see you got my card :) Hope you enjoyed your special day! I have no idea how to upload a video, hopefully you can get some help with that :)

    1. I hope so too. I wouldn't mind putting a video on my blog now and then. Ann made a comment of how she does it, but first she puts it on YouTube I really don't want to do that. I like a small personal audience, LOL

  7. Happy Belated Birthday. What a clever idea of the watermelon birthday day. Looks beautiful.
When I download a video for my blog I first download the video from my phone onto my computer. Then post it to my blog like I would a picture. There is an icon next to the picture one that is a video.

    1. I can't seem to figure out how to get video from my phone onto the computer and I'm so afraid I'll push the wrong button and do something crazy.

    3. Thanks, I enjoy it, but it would be nice to enjoy eating them too. Maybe now and then, but saving that for more special events than my silly old birthday :)

    1. I'm counting them in decades now . . . next big birthday will be 90 and then I can look back and see how the Lord has grown in me. I know He's not finished. That doesn't mean I'll make it to 90, and that's okay too. . . . I'm just following His lead and enjoying His love :)

  12. First of all, Happy 80th Birthday! What a wonderful blessing!! And I love your beautiful flowers and those cakes that you baked and couldn't eat are gorgeous! But that watermelon "cake" is really special indeed! Regarding your video, I usually have to send my photos and videos to my email address. Then I can download them to my computer from my email. Once they are downloaded from the email to the computer, you should be able to access them from blogger. sometimes I have issues with videos because they are too big of a file to send to email, and I can't remember what I end up doing, but try experimenting with that idea and see if you can make it work. I hope you can figure it out so we can see the video! Happy Birthday again!!! May God bless you with many more!

    1. Thanks I'm going to see if I can figure out how to do that. If I have time today I'll see if I can find a YouTube on how to put it into my email. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.
