Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Connie I love it! It goes perfect on your porch, the table and cushion and everything just looks so warm and welcoming! You have such a good eye and the talent for making things work.
ReplyDeleteI've never used the spray paints, makes me want to give them a try as it looks so quick, albeit messy!
Perfect for July 4th celebrations too!
Gill xx
Hi Gill, there are certain things that spray paint works wonderful on, this chair was one of them. One of the best parts about it is that it dries very fast.
DeletePaint it and in a half hour you can be sitting on it :)
Love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie :)
DeleteLove your red rocker. hugs......
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
Deletelove . . . love . . . love that chair
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, it's just the pop of color that the porch needed. So happy that you love it :)

ReplyDeleteAnne xx
Hi Anne,
DeleteThe porch should be a happy place, right. I love my red rocker, too and I think it is a great invitation to sit a while and relax. Thanks for stopping by :)
A big improvement! P Allen Smith painted the chairs on his front porch a bright orange. I really love that look.
ReplyDeleteHi Carla, I like the bright red, too . . . it just says, "come sit awhile with me"
DeleteI think it is very pretty red...love it!!
ReplyDelete~Cindy
Hi Cindy, and thank you so much :)
DeleteSweet Connie. I finally stained my front porch floor....wow...what a difference. Husband washed down the siding and floor...gosh was it ever dirty!! Took me an hour and a half, but I finished it....I will have before and after pictures also on my blog too...maybe in a couple of days. I am pooped though, you amaze me with all your energy :) Have a great rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Louise, I'm looking forward to visiting and seeing your freshened up front porch. There is always hard work involved in home projects, but the rewards are amazing :) Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteAbsolutely love red!!! It looks great!!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . it's my all time favorite color :)
DeleteIt is gorgeous, and so is the table! They are perfect together!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, thank you so much. Did you notice the red, white and blue candle . . . I found it at the Goodwill store :)
DeleteI am just swooning over your FRONT PORCH! The Red Rocker-- is just the icing on the cake for me. I like the little table and the feed sack cushions on the swing too!
ReplyDeletejust so dern inviting!
Pat
Hi Pat, Thank you. I found those old flour and sugar sacks at a yard sale maybe ten years ago. I always wanted to do something with them, then finally this idea came along. I love them, too :)
DeleteThat just goes to show you-- our stash is called 'stash' for a reason! Now if I could just get my hubby to understand that. He calls my 'stash' -TRASH.
DeleteHmmmppphhh! ;) Pat
Well Pat, when we started to move I discovered just how much stash-trash that I had collected through the years. I had a yard sale with a price of $1 on everything and made $360 something dollars and still had a truck load to donate to the Senior Center. My brother-in-law crowned me the hoarder queen of the family, LOL. I had no idea.
DeleteOh! I love it!! It is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca, thank you :)
DeleteLove it!!! But I love colour remember!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, that red chair is just what my porch needed to jazz it up a notch . . . red is such a fun color. I am delighted that you love it :)

ReplyDeleteLove, Mirjam.
Thank you. We sat out there on the 4th of July and watched neighboring farms shooting there fireworks into the sky. It's a loving shady spot to sit in the afternoon, too. Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet and encouraging words :)

ReplyDeleteThanks!!!

ReplyDeleteIt looks great on your porch, and that blue porch floor really compliments the rocking chair.
Hope you had a happy 4th.
K.
Hi Kerin, and thank you so much. I wasn't sure about painting my porch blue . . . I wanted to, but every-time I said anything about it, my friends looked at me like I was crazy. Well, crazy or not, I'm loving it :) I think that they do too, now that they have seen it :)
DeleteThat red colors just pops! Good choice of color. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks :)

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Nancy, thank you I'm happy that you like my red chair . . . also thanks for stopping by and visiting :)

ReplyDeleteI wish I had a lovely rocking chair like that on my deck. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Jill, Thank you . . . maybe you'll be heading to the store for a couple cans of spray paint :)
DeleteI think I will. I have a couple of cane chairs ...not rocking unfortunately....which would look much better with a coat of paint.
DeleteHave fun :)
DeleteYour red rocker looks wonderful. I bet you spend some lovely days sitting in it. Reading back posts it's great to see your all packed up and ready to sell your old home. Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteAli xx
Hi Ali, it is great to get a visit from you, it's been a while. I always get excited when I see your cute little bumble bee :) We are all moved . . . we did get tired of unpacking boxes and put a lot of stuff in the well house. I've been going through some of that this morning. It will take a while to get organized, but now that the house is ready to sell we can take our time. It was such a stress relief when we finally called the realtor and said, come sell this house for us, LOL
DeleteLove your red rocker!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kay
Thank you Kay, if you lived closer, I would invite you over to sit with me and sip lemonade, and of course the rocker would be your seat :)
DeleteSo cute! I bet that the neighbors are thrilled that you moved in; you have to be bringing up the property values. Love your garden too.
ReplyDeleteKathy M.
Hi Kathy, you are so sweet. They are thrilled, but no more than we are in having them as neighbors. We have known our new neighbors for many years; they are the best that anyone could ask for!
DeleteOh Connie, I have missed so many posts! I want a red rocking chair....I love your country living!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Hi Carol, I love this red chair . . . I had a smaller one that was this same style and I gave it to my neighbor. She is helping her granddaughter decorate an apartment for college. Her granddaughter wanted it orange and it turned out so cute. I hope they take photos of her apartment when it's done. Seems like bright happy colors are really a big hit with the younger folks.
DeleteThat rocker looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteHello Connie. Came over from Sara's to have a peep. Love the red rocking chair.
