Rebirth To An Old Chair

My neighbor has a bright
Red Rocker
 and I love it!

After asking her if she would mind if
I painted mine red, too . . .

and getting an okay . . .

I went to work.

Before

After . . .

and After, again :)

I really think that it is pretty.
What do you think?

Stay Happy
&
Keep Smiling.

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  1. Connie I love it! It goes perfect on your porch, the table and cushion and everything just looks so warm and welcoming! You have such a good eye and the talent for making things work.
I've never used the spray paints, makes me want to give them a try as it looks so quick, albeit messy!
Perfect for July 4th celebrations too!

    1. Hi Gill, there are certain things that spray paint works wonderful on, this chair was one of them. One of the best parts about it is that it dries very fast.
Paint it and in a half hour you can be sitting on it :)

  7. Sweet Connie. I finally stained my front porch floor....wow...what a difference. Husband washed down the siding and floor...gosh was it ever dirty!! Took me an hour and a half, but I finished it....I will have before and after pictures also on my blog too...maybe in a couple of days. I am pooped though, you amaze me with all your energy :) Have a great rest of the weekend.

    1. Hi Pat, Thank you. I found those old flour and sugar sacks at a yard sale maybe ten years ago. I always wanted to do something with them, then finally this idea came along. I love them, too :)

    2. That just goes to show you-- our stash is called 'stash' for a reason! Now if I could just get my hubby to understand that. He calls my 'stash' -TRASH.
      Hmmmppphhh! ;) Pat

    3. Well Pat, when we started to move I discovered just how much stash-trash that I had collected through the years. I had a yard sale with a price of $1 on everything and made $360 something dollars and still had a truck load to donate to the Senior Center. My brother-in-law crowned me the hoarder queen of the family, LOL. I had no idea.

    1. Hi Ali, it is great to get a visit from you, it's been a while. I always get excited when I see your cute little bumble bee :) We are all moved . . . we did get tired of unpacking boxes and put a lot of stuff in the well house. I've been going through some of that this morning. It will take a while to get organized, but now that the house is ready to sell we can take our time. It was such a stress relief when we finally called the realtor and said, come sell this house for us, LOL

    1. Hi Carol, I love this red chair . . . I had a smaller one that was this same style and I gave it to my neighbor. She is helping her granddaughter decorate an apartment for college. Her granddaughter wanted it orange and it turned out so cute. I hope they take photos of her apartment when it's done. Seems like bright happy colors are really a big hit with the younger folks.
