I know that everyone
has seen these glue and dish
projects . . .
they are all over Pinterest.
That is what I did this evening
and thought I would share.
Good old E6000 glue.
One for a candle.
An another for a bar of
heavenly smelling soap.
from a friend
and I wanted to place it
on something special.
It's what started my whole
craft project :)
short and sweet.
Have a lovely weekend
&
God Bless You All

Your blogging sister,

I've seen them, but never tried them. So cute! I really like that pretty tea cup with the purple flower on it.
ReplyDeleteThanks 🥰
DeleteI absolutely love nice smelling soap. That's a lovely way to display it in your bathroom.
ReplyDelete♥️
DeleteLove them. I've never tried anything like these before though. That E6000 is an awesome glue.
ReplyDeleteIt is. I made some larger ones for cake plates 15 years ago for a baby shower and I'm still using them. That glue sticks great and certainly holds up.
DeleteI missed seeing this project, Connie, as I am not on Pinterest, so thanks for showing yours.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, I hope it inspires you for the next time you need a cake or candle stand♥️
DeleteThanks for the recycling idea, Connie! Great looking addition to a bathroom.
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . I've been going all out girly this year.
DeleteVery pretty and fancy soap dish! I need to find some pretty teacups to do something like this but everytime I find one I fall in love with it and don't want to mess it up with glue!
ReplyDeleteI know what you're saying. I was like that too, but then I thought . . . I never use them, I just collect and keep them in a cupboard. This craft gives me a chance to use them and add a little something unique around the house.
DeleteIt looks like you had fun creating your tea cup projects. They're both pretty and useful. (What would we do without a good glue?)
ReplyDeleteThat glue in particular really holds things together. It would be nice if I could use it for my a short-term memory, LOL
DeleteI love this idea. I kind of wish I had taken more cups and saucers from my mom's house when we cleared it out, but I guess I could thrift those things, too!
ReplyDeleteMine are from thrifting, but having your Mom's would be better, wouldn't it?
Deletewow!!! all of these are wonderful!! i have seen these plenty of times, none as pretty as yours. and this gave me some different ideas on how they can be used!! i have done a few as bird feeders but the squirrels ruined them!!
ReplyDeleteThose pesty squirrels, they can be a problem. Even the birds. I'm having trouble with a robin that wants to build a nest on my front porch and I've got plenty of trees and bushes that she could choose instead. I don't want bird poop on my porch.
DeleteAt last, Google has allowed me to comment! I love blue and white china, and have the same set as your plate! You are very creative, Connie.
ReplyDeleteI love blue and white china too. I love the mix the blue and white in all decorating it looks so clean and fresh. I'm happy that Google would allow you the comment too, because your a special blogging friend and I love reading the comments you leave as well as visiting your lovely blog.
DeleteI like these and especially the soap dish!
ReplyDeleteThanks🥰
DeleteHi Connie, Both of your little projects are so sweet but I love, love, love the teacup for a soap dish. So pretty and delicate. We had a great camping trip and just got home last night. Today has been laundry and unpacking.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
There's always a day of hard work after a trip, but doesn't it feel good to be home. Adventures are fun but home is better.
Deletethese are so pretty, would be great for so many things I imagine :). hope you have a lovely Mother's day!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie. For the sweet comment and for the lovely wish. I have a friend who is also a widow, we'll both be alone on Mother's Day so we are trying to come up with something fun to do together ☺️
DeleteThose are cute ideas, Connie. The soap dish is especially sweet. I hope you have a very lovely weekend. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hope that you do too. Happy Mother's Day.
DeleteHow clever! We all have odd pieces that we can't bear to throw away -- this is really great!
ReplyDeleteI hope it inspired you to use some of your old dishes ☺️
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment .
Hi Connie..... what a cute idea for the teacups and small china dishes. I've seen larger plates glued on top of things, but this idea of the smaller "holders" is great! Love the one used as a candle holder. I have some treasured teacups that were my mom's cousins' from many many years ago.. they always gave me one for each of my birthdays! I've given many away, but have kept a few. Some were also my grandmother's and my mom's, and I've collected a few others. I wouldn't use those, but antique stores always have many others to choose from! You are always up to something creative and I love it! Love seeing your new ideas, always! YOU have a good Mother's Day.. and hope you and your friend find some good mischief to get into! Hugs to you... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThanks Marilyn, as far as mischief we plan on watching that new Sally Fields movie on Netflix and then sitting out on the porch and eating strawberries and cream. That's about all the mischief we can handle. Happy Mother's Day my friend 🥰
DeleteThese are so pretty! What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThank Melanie, it good to see you . . . I miss your blog.
DeleteWhat a great idea. The finished item looks so lovely. I hope you are having a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I had a friend over for afternoon early dinner and a movie. She was by herself today for Mother's Day too. We watched the new Sally Fields movie on Netflix 😊
DeleteConnie these recycled cups and saucers are absolutely the best. Especially like the soap dish one. Just may have to go visit one of my thrift shops and try this project. Well take care and have a blessed week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you, have fun finding the perfect cup and sauce for your project ♥️
DeleteThey are gorgeous! And I never thought of using one for soap!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . I wouldn't have either expect a friend gave me that lovely bar of fragrant soap and I wanted to show her that I appreciated her gift.
DeleteThese are lovely and just a great idea. I don't look at Pinterest very often so haven't seen these. This is the first time your post has shown up on my reading blog list!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . as for showing up on your list for the first time . . . well that seem strange, but every now and then Blogger does something out of their ordinarily scheme of things.
