Well, I don't mind getting a year older,
especially when my sweet husband gives me this for a present.
Isn't it funny, how when we are young we want flowers,
candy and jewelry.
The bling of this new faucet fills my heart with joy.
What a sweet husband, right?
Much better than any piece of jewelry . . .
I love it!
I'm celebrating 68 years of living on this beautiful planet.
life is good.
Have a great day.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
If any of you are into hot sauces
check out Steve's post on his collection,
and his special old coffee can.
It's a family heirloom :)

Many happy returns Connie, your water tap looks very stylish and I can completely understand why you would enjoy a gift like this - goodo choice!
ReplyDeleteBetty
Hi Betty, thank you :)
DeleteIt is funny what we want and how we celebrate when we are older. Usually we want to stay younger. I am glad for my November birthday this year because our health insurance will decrease by $900 a month - 65 years old.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new faucet. If you have a shortage of dishes, I am sure I could send some along.
You know I miss the energy and the pep that I am slowly loosing, but other than tha, I really enjoy the age that I am. I appreciate each day in a way that I never really even thought that much about, in my younger years :) I believe that each passage through life brings with it joys and new growth and wisdom.

DeleteHi Connie....A big Happy 68th Birthday to you!! I like the "bling" your husband got for you...I think I shall have to put a bug in my husbands ear for some "bling" like that...hahaha!! Going to check Steve's hot sauce collection. Funny I just made some pickled Jalapino peppers the other day...we had a few on our taco's tonight. Not too bad.
ReplyDeleteLouise
Hi Louise, we like hot and spicy food around here. My very favorite is Steve's Chicken Gumbo . . . Yum.

ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, and thank you :)
DeleteHappy Birthday, Connie!! My birthday was just eight days before yours. August babies, both of us! Looks like your new lovely faucet will be helping you celebrate all year long whenever you are at the sink. Yes, that's a wonderful husband you have. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara, actually my birthday is today, Sept 1st, but we are only 9 days apart. I hope that your day was spent doing something lovely. We went to Steve's brother's for dinner Friday evening, and my sister-in-law made the most delicious meal that ended in peach cobber and ice cream. Then yesterday we went on a 4 hour sail out on the lake. It's been a lovely weekend, and it's not over yet :) Today I think we will stay home a rest up, or maybe take in a movie tonight :)
DeleteHappy birthday to you! Hope you had a fabulous day. Just reading your reply comment above...my birthday is today, Sept 1st. also. Cheers!!

Hope you are enjoying some lovely Fall colour.
Claire X
Hi Claire, I am more than ready for fall, we have had the hotter summer that I can ever remember and it is still hot. Thank you for the sweet birthday wishes.
DeleteHappy Birthday Connie! That's a lovely faucet! My husband used to say I'm the only wife he's ever had that he can shop for her gifts at Lowe's! (he has had one other wife and we do have a warped sense of humor) You're so crafty I'm sure when that faucet wears out, you'll be making a bracelet with beads out of that spring!
ReplyDeleteCindy Bee
Hi Cindy, well we have a weird sense of humor here too. Steve will sometimes introduce me as his first wife.
DeleteWhen he does, it it usually accompanied with me elbowing him in the ribs :)
how sweet...love those type of things..
ReplyDeletehope your baby is still doing well, poor little thing..
Hi Lulu, thanks for asking about Butchy, he is going wonderfully :)
DeleteWishing you belated birthday wishes Connie. Hope you had a wonderful day and wish you many happy returns. Love your birthday gift from Steve.

Thanks :) Me too.
DeleteI hope you had a wonderful birthday. I saw your cake on your other post, very unusual. Isn't it werid what pleases us?
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have a dryer for quite a number of years after getting married and I was thrilled when my hubby turned up with one
unexpectedly. Have a lovely week.
Ali x
Hi Ali, having the tools to make our everyday life sweeter is always a treat. When Steve asks what I would like for a birthday, I usually think of something very practical. One year he build me shelves in my craft room. He is my sweetie :)
