Happy Birthday To Me :)

Well, I don't mind getting a year older,
especially when my sweet husband gives me this for a present.

Isn't it funny, how when we are young we want flowers,
candy and jewelry.
The bling of this new faucet fills my heart with joy.
What a sweet husband, right?
Much better than any piece of jewelry . . .

I love it!

I'm celebrating 68 years of living on this beautiful planet.
life is good.

Have a great day.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

If any of you are into hot sauces
check out Steve's post on his collection,
and his special old coffee can.
It's a family heirloom :)

  2. It is funny what we want and how we celebrate when we are older. Usually we want to stay younger. I am glad for my November birthday this year because our health insurance will decrease by $900 a month - 65 years old.

Enjoy your new faucet. If you have a shortage of dishes, I am sure I could send some along.

    1. You know I miss the energy and the pep that I am slowly loosing, but other than tha, I really enjoy the age that I am. I appreciate each day in a way that I never really even thought that much about, in my younger years :) I believe that each passage through life brings with it joys and new growth and wisdom.

  12. Hi Connie....A big Happy 68th Birthday to you!! I like the "bling" your husband got for you...I think I shall have to put a bug in my husbands ear for some "bling" like that...hahaha!! Going to check Steve's hot sauce collection. Funny I just made some pickled Jalapino peppers the other day...we had a few on our taco's tonight. Not too bad.

    1. Hi Sara, actually my birthday is today, Sept 1st, but we are only 9 days apart. I hope that your day was spent doing something lovely. We went to Steve's brother's for dinner Friday evening, and my sister-in-law made the most delicious meal that ended in peach cobber and ice cream. Then yesterday we went on a 4 hour sail out on the lake. It's been a lovely weekend, and it's not over yet :) Today I think we will stay home a rest up, or maybe take in a movie tonight :)

  28. Happy Birthday Connie! That's a lovely faucet! My husband used to say I'm the only wife he's ever had that he can shop for her gifts at Lowe's! (he has had one other wife and we do have a warped sense of humor) You're so crafty I'm sure when that faucet wears out, you'll be making a bracelet with beads out of that spring!

    1. Hi Cindy, well we have a weird sense of humor here too. Steve will sometimes introduce me as his first wife.

    1. Hi Ali, having the tools to make our everyday life sweeter is always a treat. When Steve asks what I would like for a birthday, I usually think of something very practical. One year he build me shelves in my craft room. He is my sweetie :)
