Mouse Invasion

Hi, I have been having fun
the last couple of days making mice.

I thought that you might like to see them.

If you would like to make a few mice
of your own,
check out the FREE pattern here:

 http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/pin-cushion-mice/106167
As you can see I like pin cushions :)

I think they make cute little gifts
or party flavors.

Or maybe a pocket toy.
What kid wouldn't like to have
a mouse in their pocket?

In my last post I had a few blogging sisters
that asked about my birthday cake.
Well, here's a photo :)

I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Have a wonderful week.

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

    1. Hi Diana, thanks so much for visiting, I always think how sweet it would be to have tea and cookies for my visitors. I guess if we could have a cookie at every blog we visited, we would all be blogging about dieting, LOL.

    1. Hi Nanna, I'm back on Weight Watchers and I did not want to sabotage my weight goal for cake. I'll save those times for when I am invited to someone else's celebration, and then be very careful. At least when you eat dessert away from home, you're not left with the remainder of the cake on your counter calling out your name, LOL. Watermelon is one for my top ten favorite foods :)

  7. Now that is a neat birthday cake...needing a recipe for pickled watermelon rind? I have one and the rinds are really good pickled. Mice are really cute, I should make some.

    1. Hi Louise, these mice are a lot of fun to make. I'm afraid that I have only made pickles once in my life and that was because I had a girlfriend here helping me. I've always been afraid that I might do something wrong and poison my family :( It's probably because my Mom never canned, so although I would love to learn, I'm very nervous about it.

    2. Hi Carolyn, this is weird because I typed a reply and then when it posted it posted the reply just above this one that I typed to Louise. I hope than my computer is not messy up on me. Our lap-top is sick and going into the computer doctor tonight, so I such hope that nothing happens to this one, or I'll be out of reach with all of you lovely friends.
I now what you mean about eating them in season. They are wonderful right now, so full of flavor. This winter when the snow is on the ground here, you can post a photo and remind me for the fruits of summer and that warmer weather is on the way.

    1. Hi Judy, believe it or not, I made that ear of corn pincushion at least thirty years ago. I wish that I still had the pattern, but I could probably create one from taking measurements and oiling up the old brain a bit :)

  12. They are very cute. I love the fabric inside the ears. I wish I had the time to make a bunch for the desks at work. They would be a nice surprise.

    1. Hi Lori,
at least these little critters wouldn't have all the ladies at work standing on their desks screaming :) They are really a lot of fun to make, but they do take time especially if you're wanting to make several.

    1. Hi Queenie, I know, I am always amazed when someone says that they don't like watermelon. That's my husband, he usually asks for one bite (all summer), the best part of that is that there is more for me :) I can make a meal of it. Two of my favorite foods are watermelon and popcorn.
